Sand Valley was founded on the dream of bringing incredible, public golf to the prehistoric sand dunes of central Wisconsin. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw began designing the routing in 2014 and opened Sand Valley, the resort’s first course, in 2017. The Lido – C.B. Macdonald’s long-lost gem – recently restored at Sand Valley by Tom Doak and Renaissance Golf, opened to its members and guests in 2023. It was considered by golf historians as one of the greatest golf courses ever created before being destroyed in 1942. Today, golfers can participate in the Lido’s resurrection and will be captivated by its demand for strategy and bold design.

Robert Trent Jones Jr. design that was the longtime site of the PGA Tour Champions, American Family Insurance Championship. University Ridge derives it’s name from the landscape features left by the last retreating glacier.
