Pushing member and sponsor engagement to new limits. 1. WHY WAS GOLF GENIUS A GREAT FIT FOR CLANDEBOYE? With a large membership, competition is a big part of the culture at Clandeboye Golf Club, so our competition software is really important to us. Since taking Golf Genius on in 2023, we’ve hosted several events through the software, and the feedback from members and guests has been fantastic. It’s added a fun, engaging dimension to our golf events. 2. WHAT IMPACT HAS GOLF GENIUS HAD ON THE GOLF CLUB? It’s created an exciting buzz in the clubhouse during our golf competitions as people can watch the scores unfold in real time through the TV leaderboards. During our club championship, we had non-players following the action and live scores from home through social media links. In addition to club championships, we’ve also incorporated team elements to keep players engaged, even if their individual performance in the first round aren’t strong. We’re also leveraging the platform to modernize our club’s communication methods. We plan to replace traditional noticeboards with digital ones, using Golf Genius to display leaderboards, advertisements, and dynamic content throughout the club. This initiative is part of our strategy to move forward with new technology and offer services that resonate with our members. 3. DOES THE TECHNOLOGY IMPROVE YOUR REVENUE OPPORTUNITIES? It has been a really valuable tool for attracting sponsors, as it helps us provide additional value through various touchpoints that add extra exposure. One example how we’ve used display ads between holes on the live mobile scoring feature, so when a player completes inputting their scores for that hole, we are able to display the sponsor’s content. This feature has been particularly beneficial for me as a club manager, allowing us to strengthen relationships with sponsors while delivering a polished experience. 4. WHAT YOU RECOMMEND GOLF GENIUS TO OTHER CLUBS IN IRELAND? I would wholeheartedly recommend Golf Genius to any club interested in offering an exciting, modern package for members and guests. The software has made managing and hosting events more efficient and enjoyable for everyone involved.
