GRANTS STRENGTHEN GROUPS

Golden Plains Shire Council has awarded Community Strengthening Grants to eight Golden Plains community groups in the first round of the 2023 program.

Council awarded a combined $30,241 to the successful groups to deliver eight projects with grants available in four different streams: Environment and Sustainability, Healthy Active Living, Community Safety, and Creative Community.

Young people across the Shire are invited to attend the inaugural Golden Plains Careers Expo at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre on Saturday 24 June 2023 from 10am until 3pm.

The Golden Plains Careers Expo (the Expo) aims to advance the learning and employment outcomes for young people in Golden Plains, by increasing access and awareness of education and career pathways to enhance employment opportunities and outcomes.

YOUTH HUB ALTERNATE VENUES

Golden Plains Youth Hub is temporarily closed from Monday 22 May until the end of June to allow for minor facility upgrade works so more people can be accommodated on site.

Council’s Youth Development team is running a range of online and in-person activities at other venues to support young people in the community during the closure.
