GOLDEN PLAINS SHIRE COUNCIL Feedback Welcomed on the new Digital Hub

Golden Plains Shire Council will open a new Digital Hub, featuring a modern and accessible co-working space at The Well in Smythesdale. With fast and reliable NBN internet and strong mobile phone coverage, the Digital Hub will offer a comfortable and contemporary alternative to working from home.

Supported by the Victorian Government, the Shire’s first co-working space will include connectivity upgrades, as well as new furniture and digital technology. As part of Council’s COVID-19 business support measures, Golden Plains Shire residents and businesses will have free access to the Digital Hub for the first 12 months of operation. Now, Council is seeking feedback from potential Digital Hub users to ensure the co-working space is functional and effective for all. Potential users of the Digital Hub can complete a quick survey from 9 to 23 March, available online at goldenplains.vic.gov.au/ consultations or collect a paper copy at a Council’s Customer Service Centres. There are also two Open House sessions, with residents and potential users invited to view the Digital Hub space and share their needs for a co-working space: • Thursday 18 March, 4 to 6pm • Saturday 20 March, 10am to 12pm To find out more about the project and the current consultation, visit goldenplains.vic.gov.au.
