Council is seeking feedback from the community for the development of its Footpath Strategy 2023-2033 (the Footpath Strategy).
The Footpath Strategy will assist Council to manage its current footpath assets and develop pedestrian networks to every township. Data captured from community consultation will have an emphasis on connecting communities, providing suitable infrastructure to townships and increasing programming opportunities.
The Footpath Strategy will also reflect Golden Plains Shire's existing pedestrian networks and identify the gaps within the systems. This will allow for recommendations and future plans to be developed, including a footpath priority matrix and strategic pedestrian links.
Golden Plains Shire residents can be complete the
online survey until 5pm, Monday 28 August or attend in-person community forums.
Community forums will be held at:
• Multipurpose room at the Well in Smythesdale on Friday 18 August from 10.30am to 12pm
• Haddon Community Learning Centre on Friday 18 August from 1.30 to 3pm
• Barwon Water room at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre on Monday 21 August from 5 to 6.30pm
