Engagement will begin at the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market in Bannockburn tomorrow, Saturday 3 February, from 9.30 to 11am. Come along to chat to Councillors about matters and issues that impact your local community. The Council Engagement Program aligns strategically with Council's commitment to quality, open community engagement, reinforcing the relationship between Council and the community. This Program ensures open lines of communication

The next opportunity to engage with our Councillors will be during the draft Budget Submission process in May, featuring an online forum for residents to share their views on the draft Budget. Councillors will also engage with the community at the Smythesdale Country Market on Saturday 18 May.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, Council will be hosting a FREE event at the Ballarat BreastScreen clinic for local women aged between 40 and 74 to have their regular mammogram screening. Women are invited to register for the event, which, in addition to a breast screen mammogram appointment (performed by female radiologists), will include: transport from Bannockburn and Smythesdale into Ballarat, refreshments and a social wellness activity hosted by Council staff. Due to availability of mammogram appointments, places are limited to 15 people and registrations close at 11pm on Sunday 3 March.
