中华佛教会简介
新加坡中华佛教会成立于1927年，至今已有97年 历史。1926年，太虚大师南来新加坡弘化，是为 本岛佛教发展之新高潮。其心愿欲将佛法传播世界 各地，其来新乃于讲经会上发起组织“中华佛教会” ，获得几位早期从中国南来弘扬佛法的高僧，如转 道、 如安、瑞于、普亮、其真等和尚的大力支持，才 组织成功的。
历史见证了新加坡中华佛教会在困境中的善行，而今在新时代，新加坡 中华佛教会将继续高扬佛法之旗，携手全体理事，以慈悲为怀，弘法利 生，共同创造更为丰硕的新业绩，为社会繁荣与人民福祉贡献更多光辉。
Introduction to the Chinese Buddhist Association
The Chinese Buddhist Association was established in 1927 and has a history of 97 years. In 1926, Master Taixu arrived in Singapore to promote Buddhism, marking a new pinnacle in the development of local Buddhism. With the aspiration to spread Buddhist teachings globally, the organization was initiated during a sermon, garnering strong support from eminent monks who had come from southern China to propagate Buddhism, including Zhuan Dao, Ru An, Rui Yu, Pu Liang, Qi Zhen, and others. Influential figures in the Chinese community at the time, such as the talented scholar Qiu Shuyuan, advocate for women’s education Huang Dianxian, and others, also played pivotal roles.
The history of the Chinese Buddhist Association bears witness to its benevolent actions during challenging times. Today, in the new era, the association continues to uphold the banner of Buddhist teachings. United with its board members, it endeavors to create even more fruitful achievements, contributing radiant efforts to the prosperity of society and the well-being of the people.
