BATON TWIRLING & POMS

Learn the basics of baton twirling in the beginner class and then work your way into the Razzle Dazzles baton teams and corps. All twirlers will be given an opportunity to march in local parades, perform in shows and attend competitions. Baton twirling develops coordination and confidence. Zion Park District offers a wide variety of classes for each group and level. Children will be measured for a baton on the first day of class if needed.

BATON CAMP

This camp is for beginner twirlers. It will include basic baton instruction, dance and pom. Equipment will be provided during camp (batons and poms).

Baton Festivals start at 9:00 am and will be held at Zion-Benton Township High School (21st Street and Kenosha Road). Twirlers of all ages and levels will compete. These contests are sanctioned by the National Baton Twirlers Association.

RHYTHM

NEW

RHYTHM is a dance empowerment program that targets social emotional learning competencies. Every class includes dance routines, a built in segment focusing on empowering girls by boosting self-esteem and confidence, and will end with a meditative cool down. The mission is to use dance and other activities to build confidence, self-awareness, social emotional skills, and boldness in the lives of young adolescent and teenage girls. RHYTHM is taught by Serenity Life Fitness.

DANCE & TUMBLING

This class is designed for the young dancer starting out and will allow them to express themselves through creative movement. Basic movement skills and rhythm, will be taught to enhance fine and gross motor skills, cultivate imagination creativity and social development in a caring environment. Only one spectator allowed

per participant. Face mask must be worn at all times. Dates Day Time

BALLET & TAP

This 45-minute class is the perfect combination of Ballet & Tap to teach your little one all the basic movements. Your child will get an amazing dance education while having the time of their life! Only

DANCIN’ FEET

Our dance program is designed to emphasize basic dance fundamentals, rhythm and movement. They will learn listening skills along with boosting their self –esteem. This class will include tap, jazz and ballet steps and dance routines. Bring your tap shoes if desired, not required. Only one spectator allowed per participant.

YOUTH SPEED TRAINING

Using body-weight circuit training, balance and strength NEW is embedded into the movement range of the young athlete. This program will emphasize proper running form, basic acceleration mechanics, and fundamental power movements in a hightempo environment. Only one spectator allowed per participant. Face

TENNIS

This program is designed to teach the basics of tennis. Students will learn forehands, backhands, volleys, serves and basic rallying skills by 5 Star Sports. Bring your own racket.

LET’S GET CREATIVE! CREATIVE WRITING FOR KIDS!!

Let the creative juices flow! In this fun and interactive class, kids will use their own natural talent of creativity and imagination to learn how to effectively develop and write their own stories. Each session covers different activities and topics through live instruction taught on Zoom by Language in Action, Inc. Zoom login information will be emailed to participants before each session.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP

This summer camp program will be a very intense training for participant’s grades 1st – 8th. The camp will focus on basic fundamentals of basketball. Teamwork and sportsmanship will also be a major component of the camp. Sign up early, registration is limited.

LIL’ DRIBBLERS

Its soccer season and 5 Star Sports would love to spend it with you. This soccer program will cover all the basic skills of soccer; dribbling, passing, shooting and goaltending. Shin guards are recommended.
