RiverValley Behavioral Health: Driving Growth, Innovation, and Community Impact
RiverValley Behavioral Health (RVBH) is more than a provider of mental health and substance use services. We are a growing economic and innovation partner across the region. Over the past year, RVBH has reached several significant milestones that reflect our commitment to strengthening both our workforce and the communities we serve.
With more than 700 employees, RiverValley is one of the region’s largest employers. In 2025, RVBH achieved Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) status, allowing federal funding to flow directly into local communities. This designation supports expanded access to comprehensive behavioral health services, improved care coordination, and the creation of more than 150 new jobs in the coming year, fueling both workforce growth and economic stability. RVBH was also honored as one of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Top 25 Best Places to Work in Kentucky for 2025, recognizing our intentional investment in employee well-being, career development, and workplace culture. By creating meaningful career pathways, including opportunities for individuals with lived experience, we strengthen our workforce while improving service quality and innovation.
Another major achievement this year was the completion of a $10 million renovation of the historic Cigar Factory Mall, now proudly known as the RiverValley Center. This revitalization project preserves a local landmark while creating a modern hub for care, collaboration, and community engagement, bringing new energy and investment into the area.
Beyond healthcare, RVBH reinvests locally through competitive wages and benefits, strong partnerships with schools and universities, and more than $100,000 annually contributed to local nonprofits and community organizations.
When RVBH grows, our community grows with us. We look forward to continuing our momentum in 2026 by driving innovation, supporting economic development, and building healthier, more resilient communities across the region.
