Advancing the COMMON GOOD United Way of Northern Arizona is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income, and health. These are the building blocks for a good life—a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place. We invite you to be part of the change. Together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.

MY NAME IS PAULA and I love my community. Besides my monthly payroll deduction, I volunteer my time with United Way of Northern Arizona, helping families and individuals succeed. Today in our community, too many people are walking a tightrope—barely getting by, with little ability to save for college, a home or retirement. That’s why I help hard-working families with their taxes. I make sure they take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit.

When people come out ahead, I like to ask them what they’re going to do their refund. One mom told me she was going to use her refund to move out of a shelter and into a stable apartment.
