Welcome from Goad Family Angus

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to look through our 2024 offering of sale bulls. We have developed our bulls once again on a bull developer ration and free choice forage. So as to develop them with longevity in mind. Our target growth is 2.5 3lbs per day. This allows the bulls to grow slow enough to fully develop but not have excess fat coverage that has to be burnt off prior to breeding. We still have the goal in mind that we want our bulls to look their best the day they arrive in your yard. This year we utilized a few new calving ease bulls by AI that make up a large portion of our bull pen. We have been very happy with these selections and look forward to touring existing, new, and potential customers to showcase the bullpen. We feel that we have a selection of bulls that will fit any need and any budget and will work with customers on a site unseen purchase as well. Feel free to call us to discuss your needs and budget to find a bull that will work for you, and we will make sure that you are completely satisfied with him upon arrival at your farm. Ryatt has turned one year old and brings so much fun and excitement around the farm every day. We are excited to be raising our family on the farm and grandpa is eager to take his little buddy to do chores in the tractor. Cole is already making breeding plans and show heifers for as soon as Ryatt is able to start showing at junior shows. Jolene and Cole are excited to be welcoming another baby boy at the end of May. Kristen and Corbin also welcomed a baby boy (Luke William) on Dec 17. Thank you once again for having a look and considering our bulls. Please call if you have any questions that we can help out with or stop by any time for a tour through the bull pen. All bulls will be semen tested, vaccinated for foot rot and delivered free of charge in April/ May.

He is backed by an exceptional line of donor quality cows. And out of the great Redman 1T. He combines the uniqueness of calving ease, performance, and an exceptional line of maternal genetics. He didn't want to cooperate with us on picture day to get a good picture of him, but he is a bull that I’m very excited about and would like to draw semen on him to use in herd.

RED GOAD BAZINGA 148’23

DOB: Jan 21,2023 BW: 83lbs Sept 16 WW: 730lbs Jan 27 YW: 1020lbs EPDs: BW –0.3 WW +33 YW +48 Sire: Red Ter-ron Bazinga 13B Dam: Red Goad Dana 101’11 There aren't going to be a lot of direct Bazinga progeny offered as we are getting very long on semen and only use it on our top cows. Dana has produced progeny into many commercial and purebred herds. Grab a Bazinga son while you can

RED GOAD RESOLUTION 156’23

His rear muscle shape, explosive rib shape and smooth shoulder will be one to take notice of. If you ask anyone around the farm, his dam could be one of our favorite cows.

RED GOAD UPDATE 172’23

DOB: Feb 5,2023 BW: 82lbs Sept 16 WW: 666lbs Jan 27 YW: 1035lbs EPDs: BW +2.2 WW +29 YW +52 Sire: Red Ter-ron Update 110H Dam: Red Nu-Horizon Favorite 304A The only son on offer off of Update as he was injured early into being turned out and we only received a small number of calves of him. A unique calving ease option from our elite donor cow 172. Dam is also the dam of our walking herd sire Outsider.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 177’23

RED GOAD RESOLUTION 183’23 DOB: Jan 26,2023 BW: 78lbs Sept 16 WW: 765lbs Jan 27 YW: 1140lbs EPDs: BW +1.5 WW +57 YW +86 Sire: Red BCC Brylor OTM Resolution Dam: Red Goad Reba 123’15 I had admired BCC Resolution when we seen him on the show road with his dam. I loved his hide colour, his muscle pattern, genetic package, and after seeing his dam it truly brought the whole package together for me. When semen was available on him I knew we needed to add him into our herd and 183 was one of the first cows I had in mind to breed him to. This is a bull that I have always appreciated from a young age and he’s gotten better with age. One of my top calving ease picks in the pen. I look forward to seeing who selects this bull as I think he’ll leave a really good set of replacement females and work excellent on heifers.

We have a full sister that was just a baby at the time of breeding that I was excited about that I just knew we needed to try this mating again. And now that she has calved I am even more excited about the potential of her and also 219’23 and what he can offer to his new owners herd. I was truly hoping for another heifer calf but to get a bull isn't a bad thing either. He's a neat calving ease option and lots of performance from our herd sire Statement that we lost way to early in his life.

RED GOAD STATEMENT 179’23

DOB: Jan 3,2023 BW: 72lbs Sept 16 WW: 763lbs Jan 27 YW: 1130lbs EPDs: BW +0.2 WW +50 YW +79 Sire: Red Goad Statement 104’20 Dam: Red Goad Miss 119’14 The Statement sons the last two years have been some of our biggest performance bulls at weaning time. With our second year of using him we were able to utilize him on cows that we knew well and could produce calving ease options with his huge growth potential.

RED GOAD NEW TREND 214’23

DOB: Jan 25,2023 BW: 93lbs Sept 16 WW: 724lbs Jan 27 YW: 1090lbs EPDs: BW +3.0 WW +36 YW +64 Sire: Red Brylor New Trend 22D Dam: Red Goad Reba 7’16 I like to try a few old bulls on some of our moderate, big middled cows every year. The dam of 214 raised our high selling bull last year to Mixburn Colony. We have full sisters in our replacement pen that are going to be excellent cows.

RED GOAD RESOLUTION 196’23

DOB: Jan 16,2023 BW: 84lbs Sept 16 WW: 706lbs Jan 27 YW: 1100lbs EPDs: BW +3.8 WW +52 YW +72 Sire: Red BCC Brylor OTM Resolution Dam: Red KF Baroness 57Z Another Resolution son that isn't quite as dark as the others in the pen but has the same muscle expression, wide top, and depth of quarter. Dam was purchased from Kenray Ranch, and is also the grand dam to Ter-ron’s Riddler bull.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 221’23

DOB: Jan 24,2023 BW: 84lbs Sept 16 WW: 825lbs Jan 27: 1230lbs EPDs: BW –0.9 WW +52 YW +84 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red Goad Dana 2’16 Fortress could be one of the best true blue calving ease bulls that we have ever used. These calves are all born easy and then excel and grow all year long. We wanted to use him on our big bodied cows to have true heifer bulls.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 224’23 DOB: Jan 24, 2023 BW: 71lbs Sept 16 WW: 677lbs Jan 27YW: 1070lbs EPDs: BW –2.5 WW +31 YW +53 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red Goad Reba 24’16 Deep, soggy, soft middled, calving ease, dark hide and foot all come to mind when thinking of 224. His dam catches your attention as soon as you see her. She's a moderate framed, big bodied, massive spring of rib daughter of Wilbar Longitude and our famed Reba cow family. We wish we had a full pasture of her type.

If you’re looking for a bull that will carry on the calving ease of his sire and that will sire an exceptional set of replacement females like his dam to retain, stop and have a look at 224.

Big time performance sire, that is backed by our next up and coming donor cow. Dam has produced a daughter to Lust Farms and one retained in herd, and sons working at Little de Ranch and P1 Land & Cattle. Dark red, soggy made, soft haired, muscles deep into his quarter. This is a bull that is going to leave an impressive group of calves. Two of our top cow families combined with two sires (Bazinga and Mission) that have had the biggest impact on our herd combined.

Her mating to Fortress was an easy selection as we knew this would be a solid calf with calving ease.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 244’23

DOB: Jan 7,2023 BW: 76lbs Sept 16 WW: 712lbs Jan 27 YW: 1060lbs EPDs: BW –1.6 WW +25 YW +42 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red Goad Reba 144’17 Take your pick on these Fortress sons as they are all stamped with his length of body, spring of rib, dark colour, and calving ease.

Maternal sister was selected to represent our bred heifer pen at Red Round Up.

RED GOAD MOONSHINE 253’23

DOB: Jan 29,2023 BW: 91lbs Sept 16 WW: 744lbs Jan 27 YW: 1110lbs EPDs: BW +2.7 WW +49 YW +77 Sire: Red Crowfoot Moonshine 8081U Dam: Red Goad Reba 4’17 Moonshine has been a main stay the last couple of years at our place. We have now ran out of semen on him and this will be one of the last changes to own a son off him. The Moonshine calves have been long bodied, deep, and good footed.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 261’23 DOB: Jan 1,2023 BW: 73lbs Sept 16 WW: 789lbs Jan 27 YW: 1145lbs EPDs: BW -1.6 WW +40 YW +66 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red FCF Miss Eberle 2135E 2135E dare I say it could be the best female that came from Fontaine’s when they dispersed. She has been a cow that we can breed to any bull and we know that her calf is going to be at the top of the pen each year and 261’23 is no different than any of his other siblings. One of our top calving ease options. Long bodied like all the Fortress calves, carries muscle deep into his rear quarter, while standing on a dark foot. This is a bull that will sire a set of steers and heifers off first calvers that you will be super proud taking to the auction market.

RED GOAD SPUNK 272’23 DOB: Feb 7,2023 BW: 79lbs Sept 16 WW: 721lbs Jan 27 YW: 1100lbs EPDs: BW +0.1 WW +33 YW +52 Sire: Red Goad Spunk 104’16 Dam: Red FCF Miss Barndance 2087E Spunk 104’16 was our go to bull for a lot of years being our selection of Bazinga sons after we lost him way to early in his life and we didn't have enough semen put up on him. Dam of Spunk is also the dam of our walking herd sire Statement. This cow knows how to produce bulls. Spunk 272’23 could be one of the best sons of his to date and that’s stepping out to say a lot as we have sold quite a few good sons over the years including Traegar to Rafter SJ Angus. This is the last set of Spunk sons available step in and get one of his best to date.

When we had a chance to purchase a group of embryos off Barndance’s dam, we couldn't wait for that opportunity. A good versatile bull that can be used on heifers and second calvers.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 307’23

DOB: Jan 19,2023 BW: 79lbs Sept 16 WW: 657lbs Jan 27 YW: 1035lbs EPDs: BW –0.7 WW +38 YW +62 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red Goad Spice 178’19 Another pedigree that is stacked by design with the combination of Fortress X Shocker. The Shocker females are huge volume females with really nice udders just like Shockers Supreme winning dam.

RED GOAD BAZINGA 311’23 DOB: Jan 31,2023 BW: 81lbs Sept 16 WW: 687lbs Jan 27 YW: 1060lbs EPDs: BW +1.0 WW +34 YW +55 Sire: Red Ter-ron Bazinga 13B Dam: Red Goad Reba 184’19 Bazinga son that is once again very easy to find in the pen with his moderate frame and round muscle shape. We have had a lot of success with Bazinga crossed on our Reba females.

RED GOAD SPUNK 316’23

DOB: Mar 3,2023 BW:76lbs Sept 17 WW: 601lbs Jan 27 YW: 960lbs EPDs: BW +0.3 WW +33 YW +53 Sire: Red Goad Spunk 104’16 Dam: Red Goad Lakima 116’19 If you have a group of replacement females and need a bull that is going to be honest, low maintenance calving ease look no further than a Spunk son.

RED GOAD OUTSIDER 326’23

The added bonus that we have got is a group of bulls that will offer calving ease and solid growth to their calves.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 332’23

DOB: Jan 13,2023 BW: 72lbs Sept 16 WW: 669lbs Jan 27 YW: 1040lbs EPDs: BW –1.2 WW +33 YW +58 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red Goad Stars Queen 162’20 This Fortress son is one that I have admired since he was just a baby calf. The Stars Queen cow family has a special place to me even though they get overshadowed by the Reba’s. I found this cow family in the stall at Farmfair from Vikse’and was able to buy her direct out of the stall as a show heifer.

RED GOAD STATEMENT 324’23 DOB: Jan 8,2023 BW: 62lbs Sept 16 WW: 776lbs Jan 27 YW: 1160lbs EPDs: BW –1.7 WW +52 YW +85 Sire: Red Goad Statement 104’20 Dam: Red DMM Lass 94G 94G is just one of those special cows that you know you can breed her to anything and she is going to produce a low bw calf. 324’23 was exactly what I was hoping when I mated her to Statement. I knew that she would control bw, and he would add in his power and performance to the calf. Look to add 324 into your heifer pen and reap the rewards with low maintenance calving ease and ability to his calves to put on pounds till you take them to the auction market.

RED GOAD SMOKE RING 327’23 DOB: Jan 21,2023 BW: 86lbs Sept 16 WW: 780lbs Jan 27 YW: 1180lbs EPDs: BW +3.0 WW +59 YW +92 Sire: Red BCC Brylor OTM Resolution Dam: Red Double C Countess 769G Smoke Ring is a highlight of our private treaty bull pen, with a very unique pedigree to the red angus breed. When I saw Resolution as a calf I knew we needed to use him on our herd. Along with trying to breed sound and functionable cattle, I have a personal passion to try and add as much dark pigment to the hide as I can and Smoke Ring brings this all together for me. Just like his name indicates he’s a dark red package, full of red meat that carries deep into his hind quarter, Soft haired, wide topped, and dark feet add to his overall appeal. We want to retain a semen interest to use semen in herd.

I have seen a handful of Duke calves over the years and have always admired them. As our Mission daughters were getting into their second year of production, I knew this was the sire that I wanted to cross on these females. When you get calves produced like 337 you can be very happy with your selection to use these genetics together. We have heifers that are 3/4 sibs and they are all the heavy weights in the heifer pen. Adding in the Reba cow family is always an exciting addition as well. This is the same cow family that produced the dominate show bull Red DMM Rumble 74J.

But 345 could be one of my personal favorites and this would come from the addition of his dam for me. She is a maternal sister to the 183 bull and also a maternal sister to Red Goad Pilsner 183’21 that is doing great things at Double C Red Angus.

345’23 is a deep sided, long bodied, smooth shouldered son of Fortress. Offering a great calving ease option. If you’re into pedigrees, study that of 345’23 and take notice of all the great maternal dams in 345’s pedigree

RED GOAD BREWMASTER 362’23 DOB: Jan 19,2023 BW: 74lbs Sept 16 WW: 728lbs Jan 27 YW: 1105lbs EPDs: BW –0.2 WW +42 YW +70 Sire: Red RSL Brewmaster 37G Dam: Red Goad Dana 245’21 One of the last Brewmaster calves that we will have as we sold him after this breeding season as he was just getting too big for us to keep using on heifers. This could be one of his best sons. Calving ease offered with a lot of natural muscle shape. Maternal sister to our heifer calf that sold to Rooke Farms in Red Round Up.

RED GOAD PILSNER 363’23 DOB: Jan 4,2023 BW: 82lbs Sept 16 WW: 873lbs Jan 27 YW: 1170lbs EPDs: BW +1.8 WW +70 YW +106 Sire: Red Goad Pilsner 183’21 Dam: Red Goad Reba 253’21 363 is from our home raised sire that sold to Double C Red Angus and has been doing a lot of good things for them. Never did I imagine that we would get this much calving ease and then explosive growth out of all of his progeny we have.

RED GOAD FORTRESS 365’23

DOB: Dec 26,2022 BW: 67lbs Sept 16 WW: 619lbs Jan 27 YW: 1030lbs EPDs: BW –1.9 WW +40YW +60 Sire: Red Duralta 43 Fortress 82H Dam: Red Goad Dana 255’21 Just because this bull doesn't have a picture doesn't mean we don’t think less of him. These Fortress sons are all very similar and offer exceptional calving ease.

RED GOAD BREWMASTER 380’23 DOB: Jan 30,2023 BW:72lbs Sept 16 WW: 665lbs Jan 27 YW: 1005lbs EPDs: BW +0.6 WW +36 YW +61 Sire: Red RSL Brewmaster 37G Dam: Red Goad Belle 263’21 Brewmaster was hard to let go of as he worked on our heifer pen each year but when we had the opportunity to move him to another home to keep working it was a natural fit.
