football festivals, saturday 2O and sunday 21 june 2o26

Welcome to the Glossop North End Community Club Football Festivals 2026

On behalf of everyone at Glossop North End Community Club, we are delighted to welcome all players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters to the Ellen White Pitch, here in the heart of the High Peak.

Glossop North End Community Club (GNECC) is a Three Star England Football Accredited Club, recognised for achieving the highest standards in grassroots football. Based in the heart of the High Peak, Derbyshire, the club provides an exceptional football experience for all ages and abilities, underpinned by strong governance, inclusive values, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the pitch.

As a club, we are proud to provide inclusive football opportunities for all ages and abilities, bringing together our community through a shared love of the game. These festivals are a celebration of everything grassroots football stands for-teamwork, respect, development, and enjoyment. The most important message for today is simple: show respect, let the coaches coach, let the players play, and love the game. By keeping this at the heart of the day, we can ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

All key information, including team details, the format, site rules, and a map, can be found in the festival programme-please take a moment to familiarise yourself with these to help the day run smoothly. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to our festival sponsor, McDonald’s Glossop, for their continued support of our club and the local community.

Don’t forget to follow us on social media @glossopfootball to stay up to date with everything happening across the club. Thank you for being part of our festival - enjoy the football and #LoveTheGame.

Reuben’sRetreat is a charity founded in 2012, following the heartbreaking loss of 23-month-old Reuben Graham to a rare brain tumour. Fuelled by love and a desire to support others, Reuben’s mum Nicola created a sanctuary for families facing complex medical or bereavement journeys - a place to relax, recharge, remember and rebuild.

Last year, Reuben’s Retreat marked 10 years in its ‘forever home’ - the former Woods Hospital - now a transformed sanctuary offering emotional and practical support. Over 1,800 families have been helped, honouring Reuben’s legacy with every space filled with care, compassion and love.
