Know your instructor  Beyond the classroom: Learn instructors passion & research

interests  Taking advantage of office hours  Be respectful of the instructor’s time  Communication is key!  Ask questions!

Tips for academic success  Don’t arrive late to class  Sit in the front of the class  Respect your instructor & classmates  Get a tutor! Even if you are a “B” Student  Limit use of technology in the class  No Facebook or texting!  Do not answer your phone in class
