Everything? Check! From shopping to attractions to dining, find it here
If you only wanted to hit up one place in Vegas, you wouldn’t be disappointed in The Grand Canal Shoppes, a spectacular shopping area.
You’ll find everything from attractions to dining in a gorgeous, walkable area. One of the premier attractions of the Italian-themed center is the gondola rides, where gondoliers serenade riders as they cruise the canals that wind throughout. KAMU Ultra Karaoke lets you belt out tunes in one of 40 suites, all socially distanced and with food and drink to be had as well. Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, on the walkway between the shops and Las Vegas Boulevard, features wax figures of some of the world’s most-well known celebrities, ready for a selfie with you.
If you’re shopping, you have a world of choice, with establishments like Alex and Ani, Ben Gioielli, Burberry, Coach, Etoile, Horologio Fine Watches, Jimmy Choo and Montblanc (to only slightly scratch the surface of what you’ll find). The recently opened Santa Fe Trails specializes in objects and art with a Southwestern theme, and there’s Bauman Rare Books for collectors. There’s even Houdini’s Magic Shop, if you need to disappear for a while.
If it’s dining that’s on your mind, you’re in luck! In addition to all the options in The Venetian and The Palazzo, The Grand Canal Shoppes is home to eateries of all types. Options include Grimaldi’s Coal Brick Oven Pizza, tea shop The Alley, Lobster ME, Rockhouse and Cañonita. Try one of the Italian restaurants for pastas and specialties of the house—Mercato della Pescheria, Canaletto, Trattoria Reggiano, Buddy V’s Ristorante and Brera Osteria in St. Mark’s Square. For Asian-inspired cuisine, head to X Pot, Sushi Samba and Tao; and for meat, Smith & Wollensky has you covered.
If you find you’re craving a beer after all that, Trustworthy Brewing Company is the only brewery on the Strip. Cheers! –Nina King
