Their Story - Olivia (Medley) and Alejandro Luna were married at the gorgeous Edinburgh West in Taylors, SC. The couple first saw drawings of this venue fours year earlier, sitting next to Marc Wheeler and his daughter Kennedy at an awards banquet. Olivia knew right then that Edinburgh West, a glass conservatory style building, was where she wanted to eventually get married. The entire property was decorated to reflect elegance and rich color, overflowing with deep purple, burgundy and gold and velvety black details. Alejandro and Olivia met seven years ago on Folly Beach, SC and reconnected two years later. Olivia didn’t live in the Upstate at the time, so their official first date was in her hometown of Chattanooga, TN. Six months later Olivia moved to Greenville. The couple have been involved in the wedding industry for many years; Alejandro as a photographer with Noveli Photography and Olivia as a bridal stylist and manager with The Poinsett Bride. We felt truly blessed to have built the relationships we have, and our vendors went above and beyond to make our day super special! We focused on sentimentality and guest experience and it was very important to us that our guests, which included many event vendors, enjoyed the night. Holly’s Cakes and Edinburgh West made our cake come from the ceiling!Thats never been done here in the Upstate. Jumping Jukebox ‘gave us everything they had’ which is what Blake would tell us almost everytime we saw him before he passed. We included snow into our grande exit in memory of him. There were so many small details that were special to us. Our first date was to a blown glass studio, so our unity ceremony was different colors of glass poured together and will be made into an art piece for our home. We feel that our wedding is the beginning of a new family, and so while planning, we created a Luna Family crest which was sealed on all our invitations and favors.

T HE E ADS ST ORY Erin and Sean Eads, proud owners of The School House Venue, The Ten Oh Eight Co, and The Borrowed Branch, were the very first couple to get married at The School House on July 25th 2020. The School House Venue, which served as an actual School House from 1923 to 1960s, sat beautifully vacant for the last 60 years, daring somebody to accept the challenge of revitalization. Well, the challenge was accepted and in an intense 6 months of construction, Erin and Sean saved and restored this iconic structure and planned their own dream wedding (during a global pandemic), all while simultaneously running their 3 businesses! Lets taco bout love! Laurenda’s taco bar was a hit for so many couples in 2021! This was true for Micah and Brason! Micah and Brason became friends after meeting as Fuge Camp counselors in 2019. Their friendship grew over the summer as they served together. It wasn’t long after they both went back home that they decided it was time to visit each other. From that visit, they both knew they found the one and the rest is history!

From the bride: Growing up in a small southern town, I had always dreamed of having my wedding at Fountain Inn First Baptist Church where I was raised. Each Sunday I would sit on the front row of the balcony and dream of walking down that aisle. On January 23, 2021, my dream came true as my dad walked me down the same aisle that my mother walked down almost 26 years before. There I stood with my future husband and the answer to many prayers. Our wedding was classic and elegant with many loved ones being part of the ceremony. Our reception was fun and celebratory with snow and snowballs being tossed as we exited in my great grandfather’s 64 Chevy.

At the reception Laurenda’s served delicious, southern style food. Their Story - Established in 2019, Heyward Manor was designed and built by brothers Don and Jake Black on their 900-acre family-owned tree farm – Charlie’s Creek Nursery – in Iva, South Carolina. Although the venue was not completed, the family hosted their first wedding on April 13, 2019. The bride was Don’s daughter, Tori Beth, who grew up on the farm and always dreamed of getting married there. A few months before the wedding, Tori Beth’s grandfather was diagnosed with leukemia. His health quickly declined, but he held on in hopes to see his granddaughter married. Her wedding day finally arrived, and her grandfather put on quite the show. To everyone there, including the bride, he seemed to be feeling much better. In fact, he danced the night away and even cut in during the father/daughter dance. It was priceless. Two weeks later, the bride’s grandfather passed away. His name was Heyward Black. After returning from their honeymoon, Tori Beth and Jake found out that her grandfather had been hospitalized only days after the wedding, but he wouldn’t let anyone tell them while they were gone. Thankfully, they were able to say goodbye. As construction on the venue was completed a few months later, it came time to name the venue. Nothing seemed to fit at first. And then it clicked. The family chose the name Heyward Manor after their father/ grandfather, to honor him and to cherish those precious memories with him at the venue’s first wedding.

We are an exclusive upscale event/wedding venue located on 28 beautiful rolling acres along the shores of Lake Hartwell in Townville South Carolina. The property consists of a custom crafted hemlock barn which accommodates 250 people with 7279 sq ft of heated and cooled space. The property offers stunning views and ample room to spread out. Their Story - Josh and Gabby met at a game night for Reformed University Fellowship the first week of their freshman year at Clemson University. They became very close friends over that year, and then began dating in July before their sophomore year began. They got engaged shortly after their 4 1/2 year anniversary in April of 2021, and were married soon after on October 9th, 2021 at The Venue at Edgewood. The ceremony was created with a focus on God and the couples Christian faith.

Their Story - Kyle and I met thru my brother and some of his mutual friends. We had been around each other a couple of times before we finally exchanged numbers. Come to find out… Kyle and my two brothers had been friends for years. Kyle, Jeremy, and Will raced cars against each other and had even been to concerts together. So when I met Kyle I knew I could trust him because he was good friends with my brothers already. The first time we hangout we both knew we would be inseparable. We hung out every chance we got. We shared a bond that brought so much joy to us that others noticed a change. Kyle popped the questions in my kitchen on December 18th, 2021. He had put the engagement ring in an Oreo knowing I would be getting the Oreos out. The wedding was a dream. Everything came together better than I could have ever expected. I planned every detail and my vendors were able to make our dream a reality. 06.26.2021 will forever be my favorite day.

Their Story - Cicely and Mario’s love story began back in 2012. The couple shared mutual friends that felt they were made for one another. After many long, meaningful, and often flirtatious conversations of sharing their hopes and dreams, Mario’s charming personality and sense of humor won Cicely over. Their Story - Abbey and Huw met at Furman University on the Lacrosse field, but their love story officially started one night at Connolly’s Pub. Huw approached Abbey to buy her drink and after talking for a while he came up with the idea to try to reach the roof of the Westin Poinsett Hotel. Their Story - We both went to Clemson, but it wasn’t until years after graduation that we met. After being out of college for 5+ years, one of Steven’s friends told him that he should try online dating. Around the same time, one of my friends convinced me to try online dating as well. After a few weeks, we met online and began getting to know each other. It wasn’t long until we were on our first date. Steven asked me on a second date while on our first, and the rest is history. When we got engaged, I knew I wanted a fall wedding because I love all the fall colors! I also knew that I wanted to have a somewhat boho, yet classic style – so I went with boho florals and colors, but with a photographer with a light and airy aesthetic. After scrolling Pinterest, I knew I wanted my wedding color palette to incorporate terracotta, navy, blush, tan, copper, gold. Andrea did an amazing job making all of my floral dreams come true while incorporating all of these colors!
