Apartamento Russafa Walking the streets of the hip Russafa (Ruzafa) neighbourhood in Valencia, Kate was inspired by the classical architecture and the colourful facades that melt from rich primary colours to pastel shades which she has translated into a post-impressionist painterly scene.

Vista De Calle Vista de Calle created by Kate St James on her travels through the Salamanca district in Spain. This district lies on several hills by the Tormes River. Its Old City was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Vista de Calle celebrates the meandering moments down the cobblestone streets of Spain.

Palacio De Cristal Walking through the gardens in Madrid’s Buen Retiro Park, Kate came upon the beautiful Palacio de Cristal, a conservatory designed by architect, Ricardo Velázquez Bosco and built in 1887 on the occasion of Exposition of the Philippines, held in the same year. Currently used for art exhibitions, the beautiful structure of the building and many of its embellishments are still intact having been restored to its original appearance. Viewed through the trees from across the pond, the structure takes on an ethereal appearance, which captured Kate’s imagination and which she has turned into a beautiful, painterly artwork.
