Piyush Pratik Mohanty, 22, is a writer, author, poet and blogger. He comes from a beautiful place called Joda situated in Odisha. He is currently residing in Bhubaneswar. He is pursuing his bachelor's degree in the field of prosthetics and orthotics from SVNIRTAR. He loves to cook, play tabla and most importantly write. Writing is his zeal; gives him energy and courage to move forward in life. He has wrote 6 books TIME'S INSERTION THE DAWN OF THE JOURNEY, BE FLEXIBLE AND MARCH FORWARD, ODYSSEY OF MISAPPREHENSION, COSMOS OF UTOPIA, THREE ALLEGORIES, DO WE REALLYUNDERSTAND?. He also has worked in many anthologies as coauthor.

1. How's your journey as a writer till now?
2.Your achievements till now?
The journey got it roots during the first covid lockdown in the year of 2020. I got way too much of leisure time and finally I started capitalizing on my ambition of being a published writer. So, I already had a story in my mind and that's how my first book Time’s Insertion: The Dawn Of The Journey came out. Then the joy of writing and intellect thinking made a sanctum in my mind and then the limit was beyond sky. I started working on multiple pieces and till date I have got about seven books out there thriving healthily and I can describe the journey in a single word and that’s SERENE. The journey has been absolutely fantastic and serene.
In the beginning, getting my work published itself felt like a big achievement but later on when I got into my second work i.e. ODYSSEY OF MISAPPREHENSION it felt like I have to work a bit harder as for me getting good sales number was an important target and my second book accomplished that too. Then I received many recognitions and awards from various organizations and media houses. I also maintain a reader's blog in a leading English daily and many other numerous websites. I, personally believe in rewards more than awards so that's what my books are giving me in a steady manner but the pace is remarkable and not less than an achievement.

3. What would you like to convey to our readers & budding writers?
Start reading new budding writers as we the new upcoming writers are going to keep the flame burning. 4. Who has been your inspiration in this journey?
My parents have been my biggest inspiration throughout. They have been my strongest supporters and their contribution in my life is indescribable. Also thanks to my friends and seniors who actually thought I have something in the field of literature. They all have inspired me and hence are my inspiration.
5.What's your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is my second book i.e. ODYSSEY OF MISAPPREHENSION. The story plot and everything related to it feels so realistic and terrific. Not just for the fact that it's my work but the way it's been. Honestly speaking, this book helped me as well as inspired me to keep writing and producing good pieces of art.
