Latest trends Both the European and Asian markets are characterised by limited activity and average demand at present. Landings are slow and prices are generally low to average. Vigo will again be the meeting place for seafood traders from all over Europe at the CONXEMAR seafood exhibition on 1-3 October 2019.
GROUNDFISH According to Regulation (EU) 2019/1248 of 22 July 2019, fishing for cod is now prohibited in ICES 24, 25 and 26 Baltic subdivisions from 23 July until 31 December 2019. Prices of cod in Poland are likely to rise as a result. COD - in Poland (FOB, origin: Baltic Sea)
