Latest trends The unusually high temperatures reached in Europe at the end of June have negatively impacted fish consumption and demand. Overall, prices trended downward, even throughout the holiday period when consumption of seafood is typically high. Tuna prices have dropped to their lowest level in 4 years, and canned tuna demand is reportedly very weak in the major markets, particularly in Europe.
