Issue 1/2018 January 2018 LATEST TRENDS Index for prices
January is a rather quiet month for seafood demand in Europe. The focus has now changed to Chinese markets due to an overall reduction in European demand in the wake of the holiday season. GROUNDFISH Cod remains in low supply due to limited catches and reduced quotas for this year. Prices are increasing in all major markets. COD - in Poland (FOB, origin: Baltic Sea) USD/kg
