Events for Clayesmore Society Members

T he Claye smore Sea son 2010 5 - 2 0 1 61

Welcome to another action packed year with the Clayesmore Society. With so many fantastic events, experiences and reunions for all of us to enjoy, it may prove difficult to decide what to do! Why not make this the year to try something new. Never made cheese or curry? Well, you can learn those skills at Clayesmore. Do you love wine and wish to know more and dazzle your friends with your expert knowledge? Clayesmore's wine tasting workshop is just the thing for you. What about those tired Christmas decorations at home? Our garland making evening will ensure that your home looks stylish for the festive season. As always, we have included some popular events from former seasons as well as a variety of exciting new ones. Camp Clayesmore is a great favourite with the youngest members of the Clayesmore family and the Steam Railway outing will be a great day out for all age groups. A trip to Mottisfont Abbey with its wonderful rose gardens and a tour of Salisbury Cathedral are also planned. Read through the Clayesmore Season for the coming year and you will find many more opportunities to experience social, cultural and sporting events. It helps with our planning if you can let us know early which outings, events or workshops you're intending to attend and please encourage family members and friends to come along and share the good times with you as well. We look forward to welcoming you.

WELCOME

Debbie Geary Chairman

30 September – 1 October

1 – 4 December

The Understudy A play by

Shakespeare in Hollywood

Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton

A Comedy by Ken Ludwig

A West End dressing room is the scene for this bloody tale of a successful actor giving a tourde-force performance as Macbeth – and Jim, his ever-hopeful understudy ....

It’s 1934, and Shakespeare’s most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves. With a little help from a feisty flower, blonde bombshells, movie moguls, and arrogant “asses” are tossed into loopy love triangles, with raucous results.

18 – 19 January
