The Dragon spirit! Faculty, staff, leadership and community of families for offering an energetic and empathetic environment for our daughter to learn and grow!
Beginning Tuesday, November 30, 2021, known as Giving Tuesday, the school community kicked off a month-long celebration of gratitude. James and Elizabeth Rushe, grandparents and parents of alumni, offered a generous $35,000 match of all gifts to the Annual Fund during December 2021. The Rushes have a deep love of Glenelg Country School (GCS). They are grateful for all that the school has given them and their family—an education, incredible opportunities, and a wonderful community. Every year, they are happy to give back to the school by supporting the Annual Fund, and they invited the entire Dragon community to join them in giving in the Rushe Family Gratitude Challenge. All gifts to the Annual Fund between November 30, 2021, and December 31, 2021, were matched, dollar for dollar, up to $35,000. Donors could designate their gift in honor of a teacher, advisor, coach, administrator, or GCS program. Honorees, notified of the tributes, were touched by the thoughtful messages and words of appreciation. “This made my day!” was a common refrain from teachers, coaches, and staff. Many thanks to all who showed their gratitude for GCS by giving!
The 2021–2022 Annual Fund campaign will continue through the remainder of the school year, ending on June 30. Please consider a gift online at www.glenelg.org/donate.
