LEGACY GRADUATES

This year, Glenelg Country School recognized its first two legacy graduates. Kiran Saini ’20 is the daughter of Shelley and Ty Saini ’89. Her father Ty is a former Board of Trustees chair and a member of the first Upper School graduating class in 1989. That class consisted of just ten seniors, a far cry from this year’s class of 71 graduates. Kiran will attend the University of Richmond. Thomas Demers ’20 is also a legacy graduate. His mother, Laura Rushe Demers ’85, attended GCS through Grade 8. Thomas will attend Loyola University Maryland. Congrats to all!
“As a Glenelg Country School alumna, I beam with pride when I reflect back on Thomas’ years at such an amazing school. My greatest memories were watching him participate in many of the same traditions I participated in during my years at GCS. Being able to share those same memories of playing on the teardrop, Colonial Day, the eighth grade Williamsburg trip, and even having some of the same wonderful teachers as I did is a bond that will forever connect us.” —Laura Rushe Demers ’85
