MID-SEPTEMBER 2024
MIDPOINT EVALUATIONS HELP EMPLOYEES GET ON TRACK Employee Midpoint Evaluations will be out the first week of October. Midpoints are key steps in our annual performance review process as they allow employees and supervisors to check in halfway through the performance year. Supervisors can provide feedback on employees’ progress toward expectations and goals that were established in NEOGOV earlier this year, and give employees the chance to address areas they may be off track before the year ends. Midpoint evaluations are due by Nov. 30 for all eligible employees.
POLICE OFFICER EARNS NATIONAL AWARD One of our dedicated police officers gained national attention for his commitment to serving the community. Officer Brandon Falise received the Arizona Narcotic Officers Association’s 2024 Patrol Officer of the Year award recently. He has closed out numerous drug arrest cases, most of which stemmed from self-initiated activity since working for COG over the last two and a half years. Congratulations, Officer Falise! Take a look at at the story.
FIREFIGHTER MAKES NEWS FOR RESCUING FINE-FEATHERED FRIEND Our Fire Department’s dedication to helping all creatures made the news when a fine-feathered friend was discovered in an unusual place. Firefighter Stratton Williams was dusting around some cabinets in Fire Station 157 when he heard a clucking noise coming from the ice machine. He found a rooster hiding out and was able to use gloves and a towel to rescue the rooster and returned it to its home unharmed. KTVK-3-TV and “The Arizona Republic” shared stories on this sweet rescue. Great job, Stratton and everyone in our Fire Department, for your hard work and compassion!
