REMINDER: NEW TIMEKEEPING SYSTEM WILL TAKE EFFECT SOON
Remember that a change is coming in the way employees log their work hours, request time off and complete other timekeeping tasks. The city will be switching to the new timekeeping system, UKG, on August 24.
UKG will be convenient, allowing you to log in from anywhere, without the need for VPN, using a tablet, cell phone or computer to manage your timesheet, approvals and other information.
Another benefit of the system is you will no longer have to manually input time daily and will only need to enter changes from your normal schedule. Watch for updates here: UKG and learn more about it from Assistant City Manager Vicki Rios in the video to the right.

TAKE ON SELF-CARE CHALLENGE
Now is the perfect time to engage in exercise, eating healthy, socializing with loved ones and other healthy habits because the city’s Self-Care Challenge is underway. It will last through July 31.
The goal is to choose a self-care activity and track an average of four days a week doing it Some forms of selfcare include exercising, eating healthy foods and socializing with loved ones.

PARKS AND RECREATION TEAM MAKES A SPLASH WITH FUN TV STORY
Our beautiful pools and hardworking Parks and Recreation team have earned well-deserved recognition for keeping residents and visitors entertained, cool and safe in scorching temperatures.
FOX 10 co-anchor Anita Roman interviewed Recreation Administrator Manny Padia and Recreation Coordinator Kyle White for a fun segment at Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center Some enthusiastic children in a diving class also were interviewed. Padia and White touted the expansive areas for swimming laps and diving, as well as the inexpensive cost of using the pool and the enjoyable water slides and shallow areas for little ones to splash around.
