Based on the Grandmaster concept, Hyundai made many of the latest safety features standard equipment on the Palisade, including Safe Exit Assist (prevents door from being opened by a passenger if oncoming traffic is detected), classexclusive ultrasonic rear occupant alert, rear crosstraffic alert with collision-avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot collision-avoidance.

Powering all Palisade models in the United States and Canada is a 3.8-liter Atkinson cycle V6 engine with Idle Stop & Go (ISG). The Palisade is available in base SE, mid level SEL with optional Convenience Package or Convenience and Premium Package, Luxury Limited, and top-of-the-line Calligraphy trim levels.

Carousel is well-known as the premier Los Angeles area Middle Eastern restaurant specializing in providing guests with enjoyment of the complete culinary experience of traditional Lebanese cuisine. Everything they serve comes from original family recipes passed down through generations.

Carousel restaurant’s humble beginnings began in Beirut, Lebanon in the midst of the eruption of the worst proportion of the Lebanese civil war in 1978. Husband and wife Krikor (KoKo) and Vartouhi (Rose) Tcholakian operated a small sandwich shop in the heart of Beirut. At that time, the Tcholakians decided to leave their war torn country with their young son, Mike, behind for the United States. And so their American Dream began!

HOLLYWOOD 1983 — The Tcholakians immigrated to the US, and began working various jobs to support themselves. These beginnings included running a coffee shop and making the Armenian sausage delicacy soujouk which they sold to local Armenian markets. The family decided to take a leap of faith and use Vartouhi (Rose) Tcholakian’s cooking expertise to open up a home style restaurant bringing an authentic taste of Middle Eastern cuisine to their new home. A gradual success, Carousel Hollywood became a landmark and legend in the community. Thereafter, Mike Tcholakian headed off to college and later began working in the family business.

After operating Carousel Hollywood, Mike Tcholakian opens up a larger Glendale location, bringing a taste of Middle Eastern hospitality every weekend to The Jewel City along with entertainment show nights.

PRESENT DAY —

Mike and his wife Rosalie Tcholakian are raising their family of two boys in the hustle and bustle of Glendale. Daily they continue working alongside original founders Krikor (in Hollywood) and Vartouhi (in Glendale). Carousel has become more of a lifestyle than a job to all those involved. The family’s devotion to their restaurants is the culmination of blood, sweat, and tears that allowed them to share their culture and cuisine upon coming to America.

LACO presents music that unifies us during times of dissonance with the premiere of Derrick Skye’s multicultural exploration, To Be A Horizon, which engages in an endless pursuit of connection in order to deconstruct musical and cultural divides. Beethoven’s transitional Symphony No. 4 provides a contrast, celebrating Beethoven’s legacy of breaking musical boundaries.
