Welcome to Glenburnie Lodge.

This luxurious care community is due to open to residents in Summer 2023 and will offer 70 en-suite rooms, fully furnished with complimentary WIFI, personal telephone line and state of the art nurse call system with falls monitoring.

The home will also offer companion suites that will enable couples to enjoy a larger space and remain together. All of the beautifully furnished rooms will give you the option to personalise with your own belongings to ensure that you make it feel like your own home.

I believe that everyone deserves the highest quality of care and this will be provided here at Glenburnie Lodge, by a dedicated team who share the same standards and beliefs as myself. Together, we will ensure that person centred care is at the heart of everything we do, delivered respectfully as well as ensuring we support their wellbeing whilst maintaining their dignity.

Glenburnie Lodge is situated in the village of Wenvoe, close to the pretty seaside town of Penarth, and just a short drive from Cardiff city centre. The home will offer an exceptionally high standard of living yet with a homely feel and facilities will include a choice of lounges and dining rooms, a cosy coffee lounge, bar and gym - all thoughtfully designed for your enjoyment.

For those who need more specific support, highly skilled nurses are available 24 hours a day. Nursing care: Dedicated care when needed

For those who need nursing care, residents and families can be assured that highly trained registered nurses will be able to meet the needs of residents 24 hours a day.

Respite care: Rest and recuperation

Rest and recuperation for those needing a break or just a short holiday. We also offer care and support following surgery, to include nursing care if required.

Dementia care.

At Glenburnie Lodge, we believe that dementia care should be personalised to the individual and the focus is on helping the person live well with dementia. Throughout the home we encourage everyone to maintain their independence where possible and dementia friendly areas, signage and aids to help with memory are on hand to support.

We promote a healthy lifestyle and positive wellbeing all year round. Glenburnie Lodge will have a beauty salon offering the opportunity to look and feel great. An in-home gym has been designed for older people and will offer regular supported sessions with a visiting personal trainer/physiotherapist.

A full and varied activities programme meeting the requirements of those living in the home will be available for everyone to enjoy. A range of daily activities designed to support well-being whilst keeping active in mind, body and soul.

Our own transport will enable you to visit local areas and enjoy days out.

Enjoy delicious home-made refreshments in the cosy coffee lounge or relax in one of the many lounges and cosy corners where you can read a good book or chat with friends.

A choice of beautiful dining rooms to enjoy delicious meals as well as a fully stocked bar with additional outside seating is available for everyone to enjoy. Enjoy the views of the countryside from the various balconies around the home or take the time to explore the landscaped gardens with raised beds and a potting shed.

We know the key to a successful home is down to the individuals who work there. From care assistants to registered nurses, chefs to maintenance, housekeeping to activities – the team at Glenburnie Lodge is dedicated to ensuring the very best care and support is delivered at all times.

All of the team members have been selected for their individual qualities and undergo an in-depth induction programme to ensure all of the Glenburnie Lodge values are embraced.

Our aim is to become as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. We are working hard to become a carbon net zero organisation.

Dining is at the heart of our home.

The chefs at Glenburnie Lodge are extremely passionate about the dining experience the home has to offer. Where possible, we source all produce locally, to not only reduce our carbon footprint but to support businesses in the local area.

All menus are created using the freshest seasonal ingredients and designed to suit all dietary requirements and special diets. Alternative menus are available at all times.

A private dining room is also available for special occasions and celebrations.
