Why We Work

Doctors, nurses, and first responders lack the training needed to address extremely high rates of trauma and medical emergencies.

20 million young people - 1 in 5 - youths are neither in school nor employed (World Bank). The Northern Triangle - El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras - are amongst the most violent countries in the world (UNODC). The number of children trying to flee the region more than doubled in 2014 (IOM).

Generation Now Youth Festival In 2016, we hosted the first major festival to celebrate youth in Central America: Generation Now. More than 25,000 people were in attendance. The movement is inspiring, mobilizing, and empowering a network of tens of thousands of youth leaders across the region.

Annually, we celebrate a night of impact with 400 of our most dedicated supporters and raise funds to benefit our programming.
