Hi Everyone... Well for the second time Well, this year we have featured i k on the front cover, but cricket this time it is definitely not focused on our junior players. This Friday night locals will have the chance to see a Twenty20 match that will pit Queensland’s best veteran cricketers against the Queensland Fire at Landsborough. The game is an initiative of the McGrath Foundation’s Pink Stumps Day and will raise money for breast cancer support. The game will bring home former Glass House Mountains local and ex Australian and Queensland representative Kirsten Pike. Kirsten’s career as a bowler has included 86 Women's National Cricket League matches and 50 Twenty20 matches for Queensland, and one test, 26 one day internationals and 10 Twenty20 games for Australia. She became the first female bowler to take 100 wickets for Queensland in the women's national league series and remains Queensland’ss highest wicket taker of all time.
