New handmade markets

Makers and crafters from around the region will come together for the inaugural Maleny Handmade Markets on Sunday, October 13.

The quarterly markets are being organised by three entrepreneurial locals - Nicole Hilton, Marie Shannon and Sarah Williams.

Sarah said the markets would give people a place to show and sell their handmade goods and, as all of the stalls would be different, there would be something of interest for everyone.

As well as being an organiser, Sarah is a bestselling author and will be at the market signing books, one of which is set in Maleny.

“I fell in love with this town the first time we came here. I love living in a place with so many creative, talented people and this will be the perfect opportunity for them to all come together and display their products,” Sarah said.

From baking to books, jewellery to children’s toys, you will be able to tick off everything on your Christmas list – including advent calendars and stockings.

Maleny Handmade Markets will be held every three months. Expressions of interest for the February markets are now open.
