GLANT Outdoor Autumn 2022 Lookbook

GLANT is the creation of Gary Glant, who grew up surrounded by beautiful design. His childhood home, on the shore of Seattle’s Lake Washington, was filled with the work of Jack Lenor Larsen and other legendary names in design. When he is not traveling the four corners of the world, he lives in Seattle, where he founded GLANT in 1976. With the addition of Gary Glant’s son, Adam, in 2011, GLANT has solidified its identity as a multi-generational textile house.

GLANT is renowned for their exceptional beauty, craftsmanship, quality and performance. The collection is carefully designed: individual components coordinate effortlessly providing an extraordinary level of choice and sophistication for any environment and decorating style from rich to understated, classic to modern, refined to relaxed. The designs are inspired by colors and textures found the world over, from the company headquarters in the Pacific Northwest to Northern Italy, where the majority of GLANT’s textures are produced.

Situated in Bergamo, Italy, the GLANT mill is able to develop and create the finest furnishing textiles on the world market, producing plain and jacquard furnishing fabrics in cotton, linen, silk, viscose, pure wool, trevira, and acrylic. Suitable for high-end residential and commercial use, including handsome ranges of outdoor and flame retardant Trevira CS. Skilled artisans work on the looms to create finished product that performs beautifully and is essentially hand-made.

Today, the initial collection has grown to include approximately 2,000 selections and GLANT is an international leader in texture and color. Highly prized for their exceptional quality and spectacular range of contemporary and high-tech constructions, GLANT textiles are found in the most discriminating and beautifully designed international installations, including homes, hotels, restaurants, private aircraft, and yachts.

OUTDOOR

Ranging from beautifully textured chenilles and boucles to brilliant canvases and fine failles in an array of neutrals and colors, GLANT’s Outdoor category is highly sought after for both outdoor and indoor use. GLANT’s Outdoor category allows designers to maintain the recognized GLANT aesthetic as installations move from indoor to covered outdoor to fully outdoor environments. A desired aesthetic need not change merely due to the installation being outdoors. Accordingly, GLANT Outdoor is often unrecognizable as an outdoor fabric and is instead mistaken for a beautifully crafted indoor texture. Due to easy cleanability and performance, GLANT’s Outdoor category is an ideal option for both indoor and outdoor projects, be they residential or commercial.

GLANT OUTDOOR ALTA MODA is a beautifully textured jacquard construction woven in Bergamo in our Italian mill by expert weavers in six truly luscious colorations of Lily Pad, Deep Lagoon, Dusk Blue, Camel, Almond, and Limestone.

Whether used outdoors or indoors, Glant Outdoor Alta Moda will perform like a charm, and grace both residential and commercial settings.

A Wyzenbeek heavy duty wire mesh abrasion rating (wire mesh) and 50,000 double rubs (#10 cotton duck) add great value to this handsome canvas construction suitable for indoor, as well as outdoor residential and contract use.

GLANT OUTDOOR CREPE is a sumptuous construction designed to be used in covered and open outdoor areas as well as indoors. Three handsome colorations of Sand, Camel and Umber have been carefully created to highlight this wonderful construction.

Heavy duty for outstanding performance and made of a very high grade acrylic custom spun and dyed yarn, Glant Outdoor Crepe is a stunning addition to GLANT’s richly textured outdoor/indoor offerings, made in GLANT’s own Italian textile mill.

With a heavy duty abrasion rating as well as an inherent stain resistance, Glant Outdoor Faux Leather is ideal for outdoor specifications as well as indoor residential and commercial use, be it chaise lounges, sofas, chairs, stools, benches, banquettes, table tops, headboards or panels.

We have custom spun the finest acrylic and then woven this spectacular texture in GLANT’s Italian mill using hand set warps allowing for the yarns to be used in both the warp and weft for double luxury and performance, a unique and decades long hallmark of GLANT.

Ivory, Cashew, Pale Taupe and Deep Taupe are the chic and sophisticated colorations selected to highlight Glant Outdoor Haute Chenille. Designed to perform and to delight, we are proud to offer this exceptional texture to the high-end residential and commercial marketplace.
