GLANT Autumn 2025: The Cascadia Collection

Page 1

GLANT is the creation of Gary Glant, who grew up surrounded by beautiful design. His childhood home, on the shore of Seattle’s Lake Washington, was filled with the work of Jack Lenor Larsen and other legendary names in design. When he is not traveling the four corners of the world, he lives in Seattle, where he founded GLANT in 1976. With the addition of Gary Glant’s son, Adam, in 2011, GLANT has solidified its identity as a multi-generational textile house.

GLANT is renowned for their exceptional beauty, craftsmanship, quality and performance. The collection is carefully designed: individual components coordinate effortlessly providing an extraordinary level of choice and sophistication for any environment and decorating style from rich to understated, classic to modern, refined to relaxed. The designs are inspired by colors and textures found the world over, from the company headquarters in the Pacific Northwest to Northern Italy, where the majority of GLANT’s textures are produced.

Situated in Bergamo, Italy, the GLANT mill is able to develop and create the finest furnishing textiles on the world market, producing plain and jacquard furnishing fabrics in cotton, linen, silk, viscose, pure wool, trevira, and acrylic. Suitable for high-end residential and commercial use, including handsome ranges of outdoor and flame retardant Trevira CS. Skilled artisans work on the looms to create finished product that performs beautifully and is essentially hand-made.

Today, the initial collection has grown to include approximately 2,000 selections and GLANT is an international leader in texture and color. Highly prized for their exceptional quality and spectacular range of contemporary and high-tech constructions, GLANT textiles are found in the most discriminating and beautifully designed international installations, including homes, hotels, restaurants, private aircraft, and yachts.

AUTUMN 2025 THE CASCADIA COLLECTION

The Pacific Northwest evokes images of majestic mountain ranges, spectacular waterfalls, lush, evergreen forests, island archipelagos, and abundant lakes and streams. To those of us who call this region home, it is often time to appreciate and take quiet joy in the daily beauty and serenity we enjoy in our everyday lives. The Pacific Northwest is also referred to as Cascadia, which references the cascades and waterfalls plentiful in the region. The Cascade Mountain Range was so named owing to its position so close to so many falls and river cascades.

The Glant Family first arrived in the Pacific Northwest from Denver in 1897 and it has been our home ever since. In 1949, Gary’s parents purchased a home in Seattle’s scenic Mt Baker neighborhood and to this day, Gary’s, and his son Adam’s lives have centered around this beautiful area of Seattle, which sits on the shore and ridge along magnificent Lake Washington.

In the early 1900’s the Olmsted Brothers, who designed Central Park in New York, were hired to design Seattle’s Parks and Boulevards, as well as the soon to be developed residential Mt Baker Park. Scenic names for the avenues and boulevards of Mt Baker Park were chosen to reflect the fine views of the Cascade Mountain Range, the proximity to the shores of Lake Washington and the magnificent vistas of Mt RAINIER, the tallest mountain in the Cascade Range.

GLANT Autumn 2025 reflects the beauty of this area of Seattle where the Glant family resides. Adam entered the world when Gary and Vicki lived on SHORELAND Drive which follows the contour of the ridge above Lake Washington in Mt Baker and four years later the family moved to Gary and Vicki’s present residence on CASCADIA AVENUE. To make it a real family affair, in 2021 Adam purchased his own home on Cascadia Avenue.

We present THE CASCADIA COLLECTION, inspired by family, home and the beloved environment that surrounds us.
