In addition to offering an overview of the sources of inspiration for the collections, Diary contains a selection of the design projects that have successfully expressed the spirit and poetry of the Glamora wallcoverings.

A privileged location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean creates the ideal backdrop to poetic architecture, inspired by a colonial palace reinterpreted in a contemporary key.

Passing through the entrance, you are immersed in verdant tropical gardens

populated by palm trees, creating an oasis in the midst of a dune landscape that extends to the ocean. From the lounge areas to the suites, the areas that overlook the gardens echo them masterfully in the patterns and colours. The interior design is supported by fine materials such as different types of wood, marble, and ceramic, as well as innovative wallcovering. Products by Glamora, chosen from the Creative Collection, give an incisive, distinctive touch to the most important environments. In the scenographic foyer, which faces the gardens outside with large arched windows and flooring made of large alternating slabs of black Marquina and white Carrara marble, you can admire the ceiling of palm fronds rustling in the wind

from the Dehors section of Chapter X, as they seem to delicately caress the interior. A round window facing the vegetation outside (recalling the actual gardens) and light branches of Curiosity, again from the Creative Collection Chapter X, instead alternate with the geometric designs of Intreccio in the elegant spaces of the Japanese restaurant, with colours and patterns that recall Oriental culture. Also inspired by the Orient is Sinfonia, from Chapter VII, which defines the walls of the lounge area with light flowered branches and a stylized lantern. The lounge area also expresses the decorative power of the Flutti wallcovering from Chapter X, in which the creative flair of small gold fish stand out on different shades of grey.

Gli ambienti che vi si affacciano, dalle aree lounge alle suites, ne riprendono con maestria ritmi e colori. L’interior design affianca materiali pregiati quali legni di diversa essenza, marmi e ceramiche a wallcovering di nuova generazione. Nello scenografico foyer, affacciato sui giardini esterni con grandi porzioni di pareti vetrate ad arco e pavimentato alternando grandi lastre

di marmo nero Marquina a marmo bianco di Carrara, si possono ammirare a soffitto le fronde al vento del soggetto Dehors, Chapter X, che sembrano accarezzare con delicatezza l’intero ambiente. Un oblò affacciato sulla vegetazione esterna (a citazione di quella esistente) e i leggeri ramage di Curiosity, sempre Creative Collection Chapter X, si alternano invece ai disegni geometrici di Intreccio negli eleganti spazi del ristorante giapponese in cui i colori e le trame ricordano la cultura orientale. Ispirata all’Oriente è anche Sinfonia, Chapter VII, che definisce le pareti della zona lounge con un disegno leggero di rami fioriti accanto a una lanterna stilizzata.

Sempre nella zona lounge si esprime anche la potenza decorativa del wallcovering Flutti, Chapter X, in cui campeggiano, su diverse sfumature di grigio, i vivaci guizzi di piccoli pesci dorati.

Fluid spaces that combine vision and organisation In a historic palazzo in Rome, the workspaces of an Italian holding company boast remarkable design choices that seamlessly bring together interior architectures and decorative wallcoverings in the name of perfect formal unity.

Created by Il Prisma design studio, the concept is a brilliant expression of company specifications and a range of wallcoverings from collections by Glamora. Cristian Solito, Associate & Team Leader of Communication - Visual for Il Prisma, told us how the project was conceived and developed.

WHAT WAS THE DESIGN BRIEF AND HOW DID YOU DEVELOP THE PROJECT? The client’s main aim was to bring out the Group’s dual identity in their new work spaces and team their strong roots with their innovative forward-thinking approach. We wanted to create fluid, dynamic spaces which flow visually together and communicate the three core values of the company’s philosophy, i.e. innovation, internationalism and sustainability. These values are most effectively expressed in the spaces where people come together (the social areas, the waiting areas, the discussion areas) as the guest is guided through the past, present and future of the company.

WHAT KIND OF ATMOSPHERE DID YOU WANT TO RECREATE WITHIN THE WORKSPACES? We wanted to recreate a warm, elegant atmosphere through the use of natural materials such as wood, and to develop this diffuse luminous quality by pairing pale colours with soft decorative patterns. We also focused on the theme of wellbeing, with wallcoverings in a range of greens and natural elements such as plants.

HOW IMPORTANT WAS THE CHOICE OF WALLCOVERING? Right away we saw this decorative solution as the perfect choice for highlighting the themes I’ve just mentioned. The collections chosen effectively convey an understated elegance and a distinct sense of texture and feel, which

are the guiding principles of the concept. The wallcovering flows seamlessly throughout the different areas and was also used on flush-mounted doors so it really is the focal point in every space. Walls are flooded with natural light from the vast glass surfaces and this combines with the natural detail and the earthy browns and greens to create a sense of peace and mental and physical wellbeing throughout.

WHAT GLAMORA DESIGNS DID YOU USE AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE? In the open-space offices, which feature glass walls to create a wonderful visual flow, we used Pure in warm, earthy shades (beige and browns) that evoke travertine and terracotta, the typical colours of the Eternal City. For the break-out areas and the passageways we went for Matinée in soft hues of grey

and green to highlight the importance that the company places on sustainability. The furnishings and light fittings are in coordinating shades too. In the meeting room, the large central wooden table pairs naturally with the green of the armchairs and the hues of the Eterea wallcovering.

IN YOUR EXPERIENCE, WHAT ARE THE KEY ELEMENTS OF A CONTEMPORARY, PEOPLE-CENTRIC WORKSPACE? A contemporary office needs to be flexible and you should be able to arrange it and use it as you need to. It should be an innovative space in which technology joins forces with architecture, and there should be a strong focus on sustainability and physical and mental wellbeing.

Spazi fluidi, tra visione e organizzazione Realizzati all’interno di un palazzo storico della capitale, gli spazi di lavoro di una holding italiana vantano scelte progettuali inedite dove le architetture interne diventano un tutt’uno con il rivestimento decorativo a parete in nome della massima unità formale.

Il concept, firmato dallo studio Il Prisma, esprime al meglio le richieste dell’azienda e insieme le declinazioni delle collezioni di wallcovering Glamora. Cristian Solito, Associate & Team Leader Communication - Visual dello studio Il Prisma, racconta di come è stato immaginato e sviluppato l’intervento.

QUALI ERANO LE RICHIESTE E COME AVETE SVILUPPATO IL PROGETTO? Obiettivo prioritario del cliente era quello di far emergere nei nuovi spazi di lavoro la duplice identità del Gruppo: da un lato le solide radici, dall’altra la volontà di proiettarsi verso il futuro attraverso un approccio innovativo. Abbiamo puntato a realizzare ambienti fluidi e dinamici, in connessione visiva tra loro, che comunicassero insieme i tre valori fondamentali della filosofia aziendale, ovvero Innovazione, Internazionalità e Sostenibilità. Tali valori sono espressi al meglio nelle ampie aree di connessione, destinate alla socialità, all’attesa e al confronto, che guidano l’ospite attraverso passato/presente/ futuro aziendali.

CHE TIPO DI ATMOSFERA AVETE VOLUTO RICREARE ALL’INTERNO DEGLI SPAZI DI LAVORO? Abbiamo cercato di ricreare un’atmosfera elegante e accogliente tramite l’utilizzo di materiali naturali come il legno, lavorando su un’idea di luminosità diffusa tramite l’uso di tinteggiature di colore chiaro abbinate a scenari decorativi dai colori tenui. Ci siamo inoltre concentrati sul tema del “wellbeing”, utilizzando le diverse tonalità del verde sotto forma di rivestimenti e inserendo elementi naturali, come le piante.

QUANTO È STATA IMPORTANTE LA SCELTA DEL WALLCOVERING? Abbiamo individuato da subito questa soluzione decorativa come la scelta ideale per enfatizzare i temi sopracitati. Le collezioni selezionate esprimono al meglio un’eleganza discreta e una notevole matericità, che sono le linee guida del concept. Posata nei vari ambienti senza soluzione di continuità, integrando anche le porte a filo muro, è diventata il punto focale di tutti gli spazi. Illuminata dalla luce naturale che penetra copiosa dalle ampie superfici vetrate, con i suoi soggetti naturalistici, i colori pacati della terra e della vegetazione, trasmette ovunque un senso di pace e di benessere psicofisico.

QUALI SOGGETTI GLAMORA AVETE UTILIZZATO E CON QUALI FINALITÀ?

Negli uffici open space, definiti in parte da pareti in cristallo a favore della massima osmosi visiva, è stato utilizzato il soggetto Pure nella tonalità calda della terra, che richiama il travertino e il cotto, colori tipici della “città eterna”. Nelle zone break e di passaggio abbiamo invece scelto Matinée nei toni sfumati del grigio e del verde per sottolineare l’importanza data dall’azienda alla sostenibilità. Coordinati ai wallcovering sono anche gli arredi e gli apparecchi illuminanti. Nella sala riunione l’essenza del legno del grande tavolo centrale si sposa in modo naturale con il verde delle poltroncine imbottite e le sfumature degli scenari a parete.

S EC O N D O L A VO ST R A ES P E R I E N Z A , Q UA L I S O N O G L I ELEMENTI FONDAMENTALI DI UN AMBIENTE DI LAVORO CONTEMPORANEO, PENSATO PER ESSERE A MISURA D’UOMO? L’ufficio contemporaneo dovrebbe essere uno spazio flessibile, con la possibilità di utilizzare e configurare gli spazi a seconda delle necessità, uno spazio innovativo grazie all’impiego di tecnologia integrata all’architettura, all’attenzione alla sostenibilità e al benessere psicofisico.

Awakening in Antibes Between the pages of a diary, a poetic tale set in the atmosphere of Divina Collection, the Special Edition inspired by the refined visual world of Deco period.

14th May 1927, Villa Eilenroc, Cap d’Antibes

Bonjour Ivresse…

I have learned to open my eyes slowly on these lazy mornings in Antibes. To stretch between the sheets. I look for the ray of dusty sun that creeps through the curtains and makes the reds and golds of the silk rug glimmer, lying over the veined white Botticino marble. I bury my face in the pillow and can still smell the traces of my perfume. Rose, tobacco, patchouli... It is a slow, surreal olfactory dance that accompanies my awakening. It is the only calm moment, just before everything begins.

Every day is a discovery, a race, a buzz of new speeds. The car trips over the Corniche mountains, the scented air on my face, the sun, the unknown feeling that everything is possible. Finally: freedom. And the future that invades the present, with the roar of the engines, the planes that fly over the coast, heading towards Paris. My idea of the world is out of focus before the voracity of progress.

The shrill voice of Anais arrives from the garden. I slip on my copper silk robe, look one last time at the delicacy of the drawings on the walls in the twilight, throw open the gauzy curtains and the window: a tall, wide geometry of iron and glass, which brings the whole world into my room. Anais greets me with a happy smile. She is dressed in white, a raw silk dress wrapped round her tiny body. An enormous hat protects her from the sun. The notes of a trumpet and a piano rise from inside the house and Anais gets up. She beckons me, moving the mouthpiece and trying out a few Charleston moves around the marble steps of the pool, laughing. Her mouth is red, small, perfect.

I sit down at the dressing table in polished wood. It looks like a sculpture. I already know that I’ll wear the enveloping bronze-coloured trousers and the peacoat, featuring golden threads intertwined in an obsessive geometry. The dusty pink lingerie is a perfect match for my translucent skin. Powder, rouge on my cheeks. The lipstick turns my mouth into a bud. I fix my fringe, my hair framing my face with flawless symmetry. I lengthen my eyes with the eye pencil. I look at myself. I am perfect. I am divine.

PATTERNS AND COLOUR PALETTE The collection presents 14 designs that infuse interiors with a reassuring graciousness, with images of flowers, branches and foliage that are often crafted onto split-level layers to create an original sense of visual depth.

‘Wall paintings’ that have a subtle expressive power, the beauty of bas relief sculpture and the gleaming tones of Middle-Eastern art, much-loved during the Art Deco period. The colour palette of the wallcoverings explores a

range of neutral hues that gradually deepen as they move from white and nudes to grey, blush pink and clay through to gold and precious metals. The base of each design features different shades of the same colour with layers of contrasting shades in varying tones, at times personalised with light weaves of foliage that bring to mind delicate lace and silk fabrics. Risveglio ad Antibes Tra le pagine di un diario, un racconto poetico ambientato nelle atmosfere di Divina Collection, la Special Edition ispirata al raffinato mondo visivo del periodo Déco.

14 Maggio 1927, Villa Eilenroc, Cap d’Antibes

Bonjour Ivresse…

Ho imparato ad aprire gli occhi lentamente su queste mattine pigre ad Antibes. Ad allungarmi fra le lenzuola. Cerco il raggio di sole polveroso che si insinua fra le tende e fa brillare i rossi e gli oro del tappeto di seta appoggiato sul bianco venato del marmo botticino. Affondo il viso nel cuscino e sento ancora le tracce del mio profumo. La rosa, il tabacco, il patchouli… È una lenta e surreale danza olfattiva che mi accompagna al risveglio. È l’unico momento calmo, appena prima che tutto inizi.

Ogni giorno è una scoperta, una corsa, un fragore di nuove velocità. Le gite in macchina sulla Corniche, l’aria profumata sul viso, il sole, la sensazione sconosciuta che tutto sia possibile. Infine: la libertà. E il futuro che invade il presente, con il rombo dei motori, gli aerei che sorvolano la costa andando verso Parigi. La mia idea di mondo è fuori fuoco davanti alla voracità del progresso.

Dal giardino arriva la voce squillante di Anais. Mi infilo la vestaglia di seta ramata, guardo un’ultima volta nella penombra la delicatezza dei disegni sulle pareti, spalanco le tende vaporose e la finestra: una geometria di ferro e vetro alta e ampia, che porta tutto il mondo dentro alla mia stanza. Anais mi saluta con un sorriso felice. È vestita di bianco, un abito di seta cruda le avvolge il corpo minuto. Un cappello enorme la protegge dal sole. Dall’interno della casa salgono le note di una tromba e di un piano e Anais si alza. Mi fa segno di raggiungerla agitando il bocchino e accenna qualche passo di Charleston intorno ai gradini di marmo della piscina, ridendo. La sua bocca è rossa, piccola, perfetta.

Mi siedo alla toilette di legno laccato. Sembra una scultura. So già che metterò i pantaloni avvolgenti color bronzo e il caban in cui si intrecciano fili d’oro in una geometria ossessiva.

Il dessous rosa antico è perfetto con la mia pelle diafana. La cipria, il rouge sulle guance. Il rossetto mi trasforma la bocca in un bocciolo. Sistemo la frangia, i capelli mi circondano il viso con una simmetria impeccabile. Allungo gli occhi con il kajal. Mi guardo. Sono perfetta.

Sono divina.

Decorative postmodernism: a modus vivendi with a playful sensibility This Milanese apartment truly stands out thanks to counter-current interior design by Puntofilipino, abandoning today’s minimalist taste in favour of the strongly decorative aesthetics typical of Art Deco and Pop Art by the Memphis Group, the Italian design and architecture collective founded by Ettore Sottsass and active in the 1980s.

Renowned on the experimental design scene for its ability to create immersive environments, this design studio has here used a very diverse selection of materials, such as metal, plaster and fine fabrics, teamed with bespoke wallcoverings that emphasise the experiential impact of the interiors.

The skyline of Bellagio wallcovering that runs across the living area walls, provides a bucolic backdrop for the residence’s guests and complements the interior aesthetics to create a dreamlike atmosphere.

The use of wallcoverings also emphasises the architecture of the rooms, linked by generous arches to give a modern open-space layout, filled with light from the large windows, meeting the needs of both style and planning. The tactile texture and soft colours that permeate the woodland walls bring alive a welcoming scenario that is an invitation to reconnect with nature.

Postmodernismo decorativo: un modus vivendi dalla sensibilità giocosa L’appartamento milanese, progettato da Puntofilipino, si distingue per la scelta in controtendenza di accantonare il gusto minimalista contemporaneo, recuperando l’estetica decorativa tipica dell’Art Déco e della Pop Art del Gruppo Memphis, il collettivo italiano di design e architettura fondato da Ettore Sottsass e attivo negli anni ‘80.

Riconosciuto sulla scena del design sperimentale per la capacità di creare ambienti immersivi, lo studio di progettazione ha lavorato con materiali eterogenei, come metallo, gesso e tessuti preziosi, abbinati a wallcovering su misura che enfatizzano la portata esperienziale dello spazio.

Lo skyline paesaggista di Bellagio, il soggetto applicato lungo le pareti della zona living, offre una visione bucolica agli ospiti della residenza e completa l’estetica degli interni creando un’atmosfera sognante.

The vibrant and creative city of Breda — already well-noted by travelers in search of off-the-beaten-path travel destinations — has the most picturesque historic centre in The Netherlands. In this small city, with its abundance of artistic charm, Wohrmann’s Bar is a spot for a stylish drink.

The spark of inspiration began with the shimmering warmth of gold. Dutch design studio HUGO were inspired by this radiant element, and its influence can be felt in every detail. A rich and appealing atmosphere unfolds inside the bar, with a dark burgundy and green colour palette, geometric patterns in the flooring and wood paneling, and a touch of sparkle in the accents.

The Favola wallcovering, from Creative Collection Chapter XI, unites all the design elements of the space. With its variation of tones, the texture of this nonwoven fabric wallcovering adds an earthy and grounding energy while golden touches literally add a sparkle to room.

Un’estetica degli interni che favorisce la conversazione Gli interni sofisticati del Wohrmann’s Bar, ospitato nell’hotel Van der Valk, creano uno spazio accogliente per una struttura alberghiera che esprime lusso e design artistico.

Dinamica e creativa, la città di Breda – già nota ai viaggiatori in cerca di mete meno inflazionate – vanta il centro storico più suggestivo di tutti i Paesi Bassi.

In questa cittadina ricca di fascino artistico, il Wohrmann’s Bar è una tappa obbligata per chi vuole sorseggiare un drink all’insegna dello stile.

Ad accendere la miccia dell’ispirazione è stato il calore sfavillante dell’oro. Lo studio di design olandese HUGO si è infatti lasciato trasportare da questo elemento luminoso, e la sua influenza si avverte in ogni minimo particolare.

All’interno del bar si respira un’atmosfera sontuosa e invitante, con una palette cromatica basata sul bordeaux scuro e sul verde, motivi geometrici per pavimento e boiserie e un tocco di luce per i dettagli.

Creative Collection Chapter XIII: a preview Creative Collection is the ongoing collection by Glamora, enhanced every year by the addition of a new chapter full of fresh proposals.

Multi-faceted and in continuous evolution, Creative Collection is the result of international research carried out to identify new style codes that are then interpreted using the characteristic cross-sectional, inter-disciplinary sensitivity of Glamora.

The Chapter XIII subjects, available from January 2023, are a harmonious expression of a grand creative freedom, which moves fluidly between art, design, architecture, fashion and photography.

The collection is at disposal in two finishes: GlamDecor, the vinyl wallcovering that enhances the design texture through a delicate fabric effect, and GlamTrace, the nonwoven wallcovering in natural fibers that maximizes the pictorial trait thanks to characteristics similar to handmade paper.

With a prestigious setting in a landmark building adjacent to the 16th-century Handelsbeurs, the world’s first stock exchange, Sapphire House takes guests on a journey defined by brilliance. Each prestigious Autograph Collection hotel is marked by its originality and rich stories told through the finest details.

For Sapphire House, Dutch design studio HUGO created soothing interiors that meld historic details with modern sensibilities. Key inspiration in the city called the ‘Queen of Diamonds’ naturally came from the rich colours of sapphire, ruby, diamond, and emerald gemstones.

The lobby sets the tone with soft hues and clean lines that lets the historic character of the lobby shine through. Ruby and sapphire toned modern décor in sleek lines and soft fabrics creates a welcoming setting for relaxation. Framed by geometrical moulding, Saigon Garden wallcovering from the Creative Collection Chapter VIII create a lush natural backdrop and a sense of depth that carries the eye through the arched spaces of the lobby.

With a design that lives and breathes the grandeur of Antwerp’s Golden Age, the wallcoverings are an intricate part of the Sapphire House lobby that reflects a grand voyage of trading through time and place.

Ospitato in un prestigioso edificio simbolo adiacente alla cinquecentesca sala da concerti Handelsbeurs, nata come la prima Borsa al mondo, il Sapphire House accompagna gli ospiti in un viaggio all’insegna dello splendore. Tutti gli

hotel della prestigiosa Autograph Collection si distinguono per l’originalità e le storie suggestive, raccontate attraverso ogni minimo dettaglio.

Per il Sapphire House, lo studio di design olandese HUGO ha creato interni rilassanti che uniscono dettagli storici e tendenze moderne.

Nella città soprannominata “Regina dei diamanti”, la principale ispirazione non potevano che essere i sontuosi colori delle pietre preziose, in particolare lo zaffiro, il rubino, il diamante e lo smeraldo.

La hall detta subito il mood con tonalità delicate e linee pulite, che fanno trasparire tutto il carattere storico dell’ambiente. Gli arredi moderni nei toni del rubino e dello zaffiro, contraddistinti da linee raffinate e morbidi tessuti, creano uno spazio accogliente che invita al relax. A Spanish buen retiro in symbiosis with nature The last years have led to a greater pursuit of total wellbeing, and even second homes are being given new life.

Seen as places that amplify a sense of peace, harmony and balance, they are today the subject of renovation processes that allow a more direct connection with nature, even during non-holiday periods. This was the functional and aesthetic demands that Studio Wonbat satisfied with an elaborate and refined interior project in the south of Spain.

WHAT WERE THE CLIENT’S REQUESTS FOR THIS INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT? The aim was to transform a summer pied-à-terre into somewhere more elaborate and cosy, in line with the tastes and needs of the client and their family, so that they would want to spend long periods here outside of the summer season. Specifically, the layout of the two floors in the house was reorganised and flow between the rooms was improved by repositioning and refurbishing a connecting staircase. On the one hand, we wanted to enlarge the master suite and create a much more ethereal main floor that opened onto the garden, with a view of it from the main entrance. On the other, we converted the purpose and use of the basement, previously little used due to its layout and design, turning it into a space for socialising to be fully enjoyed with family and friends. Finally, we were asked to completely overhaul the interior design of the entire house in terms of space, materials, finishes, furniture and lighting.

WHAT WAS THE CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT AND WHAT ROLE DID THE WALLCOVERINGS PLAY?

Furthermore, we ensured continuity and movement by bringing the same pattern used on the ceiling down a wall in the living room.

Mimas wallcovering was the obvious choice: we immediately realised that its curved pattern and the graphic use of natural textures suited our idea perfectly.

The wall of the circular staircase, this house’s central element, was enhanced by covering it with Moribana wallcovering on GlamPure, the pattern of which accentuates its sensual movement and subtlety.

We decided to give the master bedroom the gentle treatment with beautiful Temps Perdu from the Komorebi Collection on GlamPure: a good way to bring serenity and harmony into this otherwise very austere bedroom.

Right from the outset, we decided we would give each floor a different personality, to create different but equally attractive experiences depending on which floor you were on. The challenge was to achieve this while maintaining an overall harmony consistent with the fundamentals of the project: a house inspired by nature, with open spaces, and curved lines that flow and calm. In short, to create interiors that embraced peace and wellbeing.

Wallcoverings helped us to achieve this concept. On the main floor, we opted for a more austere use of colour, sticking to neutrals and warm hues. Natural materials were also chosen, such as terracotta tiles, oak and organic wallcoverings such as the Komorebi Collection on GlamPure.

In the basement, other colour ranges were introduced, again inspired by nature, but more playful in spirit. Here, we opted for a wallcovering from the Glamora continuous c o l l e c t i o n , C r e at i v e C o l l e c t i o n , o n GlamDecor vinyl material.

HOW DID GLAMORA SUPPORT YOU IN REALISING THIS PROJECT? The Glamora graphics team played a very important role in allowing us to adapt the selected wallcovering to the intended space and thus enhance the planned interior architecture. Thanks to their Bespoke Design Service, it was also possible to adjust the colour range of the wallcovering on the c e i l i n g an d a c h i eve a ve r y ba l an c e d composition of hues, shades and brightness.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE I D E A O F C OV E R I N G U N U S UA L SURFACES SUCH AS THE CEILING?

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE DECORATOR IN SUCH A PROJECT?

At Wonbat we had for a long time been interested in exploring the possibility of wallpapering ceilings, but we had to find the right design.

We soon realised that the large hall on the ground floor was ideal. Thus we were able to lend dynamism and personality to an ethereal rectangular space where the different heights of the ceiling and its generous curves lent definition and emphasis to the different rooms.

In a complex project of this type, the Glamora-certified decorator played a crucial role, not only thanks to their essential knowledge of the materials used, but also due to the particular nature of the surfaces to be covered: curved walls and ceilings. In addition, the finishes had to be flawless and thus required a good decorator to ensure the required level of attention to detail.

COME È NATA L’IDEA DI RIVESTIRE SUPERFICI INSOLITE COME IL SOFFITTO?

QUALI SONO STATE LE RICHIESTE DEL CLIENTE PER LA REALIZZAZIONE DI QUESTO PROGETTO DI INTERNI?

In Wonbat eravamo da tempo interessati a esplorare la possibilità di rivestire con carta da parati i soffitti, ma dovevamo trovare il progetto giusto. Abbiamo da subito capito che il grande salone al piano terra sarebbe stato il luogo ideale. Così siamo riusciti a conferire dinamismo e personalità ad una diafana pianta rettangolare in cui il soffitto lavorato a diverse altezze con ampie curve aveva il compito di definire ed evidenziare i diversi ambienti.

Inoltre, facendo scendere da una parete del soggiorno il medesimo soggetto del soffitto, abbiamo dato continuità e movimento allo spazio. La scelta del wallcovering Mimas, è stata facile: abbiamo colto immediatamente che il suo design con curvature e l’uso grafico di texture naturali si adattavano perfettamente alla nostra idea.

La parete della scala circolare, elemento centrale della casa, è stata valorizzata rivestendola con il wallcovering Moribana su GlamPure, che con il suo design ne accentua il movimento sensuale e la sottigliezza.

Abbiamo deciso di dare una personalità gentile alla camera matrimoniale con il b e l l i ss i m o Te m p s Pe rd u d i Kom ore b i Collection: è stato un buon modo per portare serenità e armonia nella camera da letto, altrimenti molto austera.

L’obiettivo era quello di trasformare un pied-àterre estivo in uno spazio più elaborato e accogliente, in sintonia con i gusti e le esigenze della famiglia committente, in modo tale da invitarli a trascorrere lunghi periodi anche al di fuori della stagione estiva.

Nello specifico è stata sviluppata una riorganizzazione degli spazi disposti sui due piani dell’abitazione e migliorata la circolazione stessa tra i vani, riposizionando e valorizzando una scala di collegamento.

Da un lato, si desiderava ampliare lo spazio dedicato alla suite principale e realizzare un piano nobile molto più diafano, aperto sul giardino, con vista su di esso dall’ingresso principale.

Dall’altro, è stato riconvertito il significato e l’utilizzo del piano seminterrato, prima sottoutilizzato a causa della sua distribuzione e design, per trasformarlo in uno spazio conviviale da vivere appieno in famiglia e con gli amici.

Infine, ci è stata chiesta una revisione totale del design degli interni dell’intera casa in termini di spazi, materiali, finiture, arredi e illuminazione.

QUAL ERA IL CONCEPT DEL PROGETTO E C H E R U O L O H A N N O AV U T O I WALLCOVERING? Fin dall’inizio del progetto abbiamo pensato di dare a ciascuno dei piani una personalità distinta, in modo che essere in ognuno fornisse esperienze diverse ma ugualmente attraenti.

La sfida era raggiungere questo obiettivo m a n t e n e n d o u n’a r m o n i a g l o b a l e n e l complesso coerente con i fondamenti del progetto: una casa ispirata alla natura, con spazi aperti, con linee curve che scorrono e donano calma. In breve, creare spazi che offrissero pace e benessere.

I wa l l c ove ri n g c i h a n n o a i utato n e l l a realizzazione di questo concept. Al piano nobile si è optato per un uso più austero della gamma cromatica, attenendosi a colori neutri e caldi. Anche nell’utilizzo dei materiali sono stati scelti materiali naturali, come piastrelle in terracotta, legno di quercia e rivestimenti organici come Komorebi Collection su GlamPure.

Al piano interrato sono state introdotte altre gamme cromatiche, sempre ispirate alla natura, ma dallo spirito più giocoso. Per q u e sto p i a n o a bb i a m o optato p e r u n wallcovering della collezione continuativa, Creative Collection, su materiale vinilico GlamDecor.

IN CHE MODO GLAMORA HA SUPPORTATO L A R E A L I Z Z A Z I O N E D I Q U E STO PROGETTO? Il ruolo del team grafico di Glamora è stato molto importante nel permetterci di adattare il soggetto selezionato agli spazi e valorizzare così l’architettura degli interni che era stata progettata. Inoltre, grazie al Bespoke Design Service, è stato possibile regolare la gamma cromatica del wallcovering posizionato sul soffitto e ottenere una composizione di tinte, tonalità e luminosità molto equilibrata.

L’ideale per un grande salone.

QUAL È IL RUOLO DELL’INSTALLATORE IN UN PROGETTO COSÌ COMPLESSO? In un progetto complesso di questo tipo, il ruolo dell’installatore certificato da Glamora è stato fondamentale sia per la necessaria conoscenza dei materiali utilizzati sia per la particolarità delle superfici da rivestire: pareti curve e soffitti. Inoltre, le finiture dovevano essere impeccabili; quindi, un buon installatore era essenziale per ottenere il livello di cura del dettaglio richiesto.

2022 Compasso d’Oro Award Glamora receives an Honourable Mention for Komorebi Collection

At the 27th Compasso d’Oro Awards on 20 June 2022, the Komorebi Collection on GlamPure was selected for an Honourable Mention by the international jury.

Like all the design creations that have won this prestigious recognition, the Komorebi Collection now joins the Compasso d’Oro ADI Collection, declared by the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities to be of “exceptional artistic and historic interest”.

This edition of the Compasso d’Oro ADI saw the introduction of an important new factor with adoption, for the first time, of a specific theme to guide both the preselection for the ADI Design Index 2020 and 2021 and selection of the winners by the jury. The three keywords for this twenty-seventh edition were Responsible Sustainable Development.

“The Compasso d’Oro, a privileged operator in the complex design system, is duty bound to take a clear stance on the future. A firm proactive design stance, not merely a communication slant”, says ADI President Luciano Galimberti.

According to the jury, Komorebi Collection deserves the Honourable Mention because, inspired by the Japandi aesthetic, it promotes a biophilia-based approach to living and encourages a reconnection with nature.

The collection is, in fact, realised on GlamPure, the culmination of research carried out by Glamora on totally organic materials, with all the characteristics of a cutting-edge covering: a non-woven fabric in pure European linen and viscose.

A unique plant-fibre textile originating in Europe, linen’s considerable aesthetic and practical value is combined with a high level of sustainability: it is compostable and eco-compatible.

The prestigious Compasso d’Oro Honourable Mention goes to join the international awards already won by Komorebi Collection, which include the 2021 German Design Award for Excellent Product Design – Material and Surfaces, with a Special Mention in the Eco Design category, and the 2020 Archiproducts Design Award.

Premio Compasso d’Oro 2022 A Glamora la Menzione d’Onore per Komorebi Collection La giuria internazionale del XXVII Premio Compasso d’Oro ha conferito, durante la cerimonia del 20 giugno 2022, la Menzione d’Onore a Komorebi Collection su GlamPure.

Come tutte le realizzazioni di design insignite del prestigioso premio, Komorebi Collection entra quindi a far parte della Collezione Compasso d’Oro ADI, dichiarata dal Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali rassegna di “eccezionale interesse artistico e storico”.

Questa edizione del Compasso d’Oro ADI è stata caratterizzata da un’importante novità: è la prima che si tiene all’insegna di un tema specifico, che ha indirizzato tanto la preselezione di ADI Design Index 2020 e 2021 quanto la scelta dei vincitori da parte della giuria. Le tre parole chiave della ventisettesima edizione sono state: sviluppo – sostenibile- responsabile.

“Il Compasso d’Oro, operatore privilegiato nel complesso sistema del design, ha il dovere di prendere una posizione chiara rispetto al futuro. Una posizione che sia una scelta di campo propositiva e progettuale, non una semplice presa di posizione della comunicazione” - Luciano Galimberti, presidente ADI Secondo la giuria, Komorebi Collection è risultata meritevole poiché suggerisce un approccio all’abitare che segue i principi della biofilia e invita alla riconnessione con la natura, ispirandosi alle atmosfere japandi.

La collezione è, infatti, realizzata su GlamPure, punto di arrivo della ricerca condotta da Glamora sui materiali totalmente organici, con tutte le caratteristiche di un rivestimento innovativo: un tessuto-non-tessuto realizzato in puro lino europeo e viscosa. Unica fibra vegetale tessile originaria del continente, il lino ha un forte contenuto estetico e funzionale unito a un valore elevato di sostenibilità: è compostabile ed ecocompatibile.

La prestigiosa Menzione d’Onore del Compasso d’Oro è un riconoscimento che si aggiunge ai premi internazionali già ottenuti da Komorebi Collection, come il German Design Award 2021, nella categoria Excellent Product Design – Material and Surfaces, con la Menzione Speciale nella categoria Eco Design, e l’Archiproducts Design Award 2020.
