Pininfarina designs “Les Exceptionnels”, A Landmark Collection
Celebrating 90 Years of Lancôme
The iconic Italian design house, renowned for its timeless beauty and rich legacy in crafting sculptural, emotionally resonant forms, was chosen by Lancôme to design “Les Exceptionnels” , a landmark collection that celebrates 90 Years of Lancôme. French elegance meets Italian design with three iconic Lancôme creations reimagined as exquisite objets d’art. Timeless pieces, designed to be refillable, so they can be treasured endlessly, for today and always. “Les Exceptionnels” is a limited-edition curated experience, an homage to heritage and a celebration of artistry and design, featuring some of their most popular and beloved creations to date: Absolue Longevity The Soft Cream, Absolu Rouge lipstick and, last but not least, La vie est belle Eau de Parfum.
Villa Premiere Introduces
“UNA NOTTE IN TOSCANA,” an Italian Seaside Dining Experience in Puerto Vallarta
Every Tuesday evening, Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Get away transports guests to the heart of Italy with Una Notte in Toscana, an immersive dining experience that brings the spirit of Tuscany to La Ceiba Restaurant, set directly along the shores of the Pacific Ocean.
Inspired by classic Tuscan cuisine, the evening unfolds in an elegant, intimate setting accented by artisan blue-and-white linens, natural textures, and the fresh aromas of rosemary and lemon, all accompa nied by live Italian music. The result is a warm, romantic atmosphere designed for lingering dinners and shared moments by the sea.
The menu, curated by Executive Chef Rogelio Domínguez, showcases a refined selection of Italian classics, including Penne all’Arrabbiata with tomato, garlic, and a subtle heat; Gnocchi alla Carbonara pre pared in the traditional style; Bavette ai Funghi with sautéed mush rooms; and salt-crusted fish, slowly cooked to preserve its natural flavor and juiciness. The experience concludes with a classic tiramisù and a refreshing glass of limoncello served as a digestif.
“Una Notte in Toscana is about honoring simplicity, quality ingre dients, and the joy of sharing a meal,” says Executive Chef Rogelio Domínguez. “We wanted to create an experience that feels authentic and intimate—where guests can slow down, savor each dish, and connect with the flavors, the setting, and one another.”
This weekly culinary experience is part of Villa Premiere’s broader gastronomic vision in Puerto Vallarta, which celebrates thoughtful dining as an essential element of the guest experience. In addition to La Ceiba’s seasonal Mexican and international cuisine, the hotel features La Corona, its signature fine-dining restaurant highlighting elevated flavors and refined presentation, as well as La Perla-Cantina de Costa, a relaxed, oceanfront concept offering fresh coastal bites and handcrafted cocktails. Together, these venues reflect Villa Premiere’s commitment to romance, personalized service, and meaningful moments by the sea. Una Notte in Toscana takes place every Tuesday evening at La Ceiba Restaurant, inside Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway. premiereonline.com

Blanca Blanco’s Glamorous Birthday Party
Let’s start by saying that Blanca Blanco is an actress that we love and who is the queen of red carpets around the world specifically in Cannes. They just go crazy for her! She is also a model that walks the French Fashion shows. She’s a writer, a philanthropist and a loyal friend. Blanca just celebrated her birthday in her very own way “Glam Glam” at the iconic restaurant Spago in Beverly Hills with a menu curated by the one and only Wolfgang Puck himself, who came to greet the birthday girl and her VIP list of friends including yours truly Jenny and the City.
We indulged with Wines by Veritas Imports + Holy Grail Wine. Blanca wore a custom birthday dress by Von Vemian. The jewelry is from Leon’s Beverly Hills & her heels are from Dior. Her cake was for sure a piece of art by Cake & Art Bakery. We all gathered in such a joyful way to celebrate someone who has been there for everyone!
Happy Bday Queen!!

Partners with Benny’s Eyewear for New Capsule Collection
Benny’s Eyewear, the luxury eyewear brand offering stylish reading glasses handcrafted in Italy, is proud to announce the launch of its exclusive collaboration with actress and advocate, Selma Blair. The six-style eyewear capsule blends timeless Italian craftsmanship with Selma’s distinct sartorial point of view. The brand will be donating a portion of all sales from the Selma Blair x Benny’s Eyewear collection to the American Brain Foundation, of which Selma is a global ambassador. “This collaboration came together in such an organic way. I got my first pair of Benny’s Eyewear readers and was immediately in love. As a fan of the brand myself, I am excited to finally share the collection we made. The creative freedom that I was given made this such a fun and rewarding experience, so I’m really looking forward to launching the collection,” says Selma Blair. Selma played an integral role in the design process, shaping every detail from frame silhouettes and refined design elements to the carefully curated color palette. The result, a collection of six thoughtfully designed styles, three reading glasses and three sunglasses, which feel personal, intentional, and wearable. It was brought to life in Italy by Benny’s finest multi-generational factory, where master artisans used the highest-quality materials to create a truly special and enduring eyewear collection. “Partnering with Selma on this capsule collection has been an absolute joy. We set out to create eyewear that feels both beautifully considered and genuinely empowering, and I believe these six new styles do exactly that. Each pair was handmade in Italy with meticulous attention to detail. Selma’s bold vision and personal connection to eyewear brought a depth and authenticity to the design process that truly elevates the collection. We’re thrilled to share something so thoughtfully crafted with our customers,” says Susan Berryman, founder of Benny’s Eyewear. MILAN FASHION WEEK FW26: A SEASON OF REINVENTION &
CULTURAL DIALOGUE
Written by Olga Fitkevich
Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026 concluded with a sense of momentum rarely felt so distinctly across the industry. Energized by the lingering spirit of the Winter Olympics, the city transformed into a dynamic arena where fashion became both spectacle and statement. With 52 runway shows on the calendar, the season was defined not only by aesthetics, but by pivotal transitions—marking the arrival of new creative leadership at some of the world’s most influential houses.
At the forefront of this narrative was the debut of Maria Grazia Chiuri at Fendi. Her collection signaled a thoughtful recalibration of the brand’s identity, balancing its Roman heritage with a renewed intellectual and feminine sensibility. This moment set the tone for a week shaped by fresh perspectives and high expectations.
The theme of reinvention continued at Marni, where Meryll Rogge introduced a debut rich in texture and emotional depth. Soon after, the spotlight turned into one of the most anticipated events of the week: Demna presenting his first physical runway show for Gucci. The show carried both the weight of expectation and the promise of a new era, capturing the attention of the global fashion audience.
Yet, beyond these headline debuts, the season’s strength lay equally in what could be described as a “sophomore surge.” Designers such as Simone Bellotti at Jil Sander, David Koma at Blumarine, and Louise Trotter at Bottega Veneta demonstrated growing confidence and clarity, proving that evolution within a house can be just as compelling as a debut. Across the week, several standout moments highlighted Milan’s ability to merge spectacle with substance. Diesel created one of the most talked-about environments, constructing a set from 50,000 archival pieces—an immersive reflection on memory and identity. At Prada, restraint took center stage, with collections defined by precision, intellect, and quiet authority. Meanwhile, BOSS reaffirmed its command of tailoring, presenting a vision of modern power dressing grounded in structure and discipline. The week also expanded its global and cultural dialogue. The debut of Alice Yu offered a compelling example of fashion as a medium of storytelling. Her presentation, “Intangible Heritage Reimagined,” blended ready-to-wear, couture, and installation, drawing inspiration from Paul Poiret and Helmut Lang. Through this synthesis, Yu explored the transmission of cultural memory, positioning her work at the intersection of tradition and innovation.
In a collaborative initiative with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Antonioli, five Korean brands—AMOMENTO, BESFXXK, DAILY MIRROR, JADEN CHO, and KIMHEKIM—were introduced to Milan’s international audience. The presence of Choi Min-ho further underscored the growing intersection between fashion and global pop culture. Beyond the main runway circuit, independent designers contributed to some of the most intellectually engaging moments of the season. KHARCHI, founded by Sofia Kharchilava, presented its work at Milan Fashion Days at Villa Borromeo. The brand operates outside traditional seasonal frameworks, treating each collection as a conceptual exploration of identity, history, and emotion. Rooted in sustainability and craftsmanship, KHARCHI’s philosophy reflects a broader shift toward slow fashion an meaningful creation. Similarly, ALCHÈTIPO offered a deeply conceptual presentation during the Lineapelle Designers Edition. Its Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection, “A Ceremony Stitched to Break,” examined contradiction through material and form. Italian leather introduced structure and rigidity, while softer textiles allowed for fluidity, creating a dialogue between discipline and vulnerability. The collection’s evolving color palette—ranging from ceremonial white to disruptive green—reinforced its emotional and symbolic narrative.
From these diverse presentations, several defining trends emerged. Architectural tailoring dominated, with designers emphasizing sharp silhouettes and structured forms. Material contrast became a key theme,
used not merely decoratively, but as a storytelling device. Most notably, there was a clear movement toward conceptual fashion—collections designed as narratives rather than seasonal commodities.
Milan Fashion Week FW26 will be remembered as a moment of transformation. It was a season where legacy houses embraced change, emerging designers challenged conventions, and the industry moved toward a more thoughtful, narrative-driven future. In Milan, fashion proved once again that it is not only about what we wear, but about the ideas, histories, and identities we choose to express.

100th Anniversary of the Little Black Dress
We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of this classic that was once known and worn only for funerals. From the Victorian Era into Art Nouveau, the roaring 20’s, when Chanel brought the little black dress into the height of fashion for the most discriminating ladies in 1926.
From the suits of the 40’s, evening gowns of the 50’s, shifts of the 60’s, baby doll dresses of the 70’s jacket dresses of the 80’s, 90’s and beyond, it’s now known as the classic dress.
We’ve seen it worn in the office, for bridal, evening, street wear and of course for funerals. There have been many interpretations of the little black dress, so it’s easy to see why it has become and continues to be a wardrobe staple.
My evening gown (Mickey) is my interpretation of a little black dress. Modern. Classic. Understated. Sophisticated. Even with the ever changing, modifying and interpretation of this classic, there is one thing for sure.
It’s no longer the little black dress, it has become THE dress.

Q&A Exclusive interview with Tracy Perreira founder of Petals and Pooch
WHAT IS PETALS & POOCH? Petals & Pooch is an online pet boutique offering dog harnesses, collars, leashes, and accessories. A fashion-inspired, woman owned & operated small business, based in Orange County, California, the brand marries refined aesthetics with everyday wearability for pets. Each collection is thoughtfully curated, drawing inspiration for timeless style and modern fashion. What began as a passion project has grown into a nationally stocked collection, now carried by pet boutiques across the country. Petals & Pooch is committed to giving back to the community, with a portion of sales supporting pet-related causes-allowing style to make a meaningful impact.
WHEN DID YOU START YOUR COMPANY AND WHY? Petals & Pooch officially started October 2023. I started this company in memory of my sweet dog Chloe who passed away December 13, 2022. I wanted something that would keep her memory alive. Chloe loved going on outings with me. At the time I had her in my life, there was just boring dog wear on the market. Plain collars, harnesses and leashes. My grandchildren would dress her up in baby doll clothes for fun. I decided that I wanted to merge my love of dogs and fashion together. I took my inspirations and love of fashion and dogs and went for it! I now have 47 collections launched! I want people who go out with their dogs to have something that would be chic, fun and comfortable. If you took your dog to dinner or shopping, to look stylish along with you. I love to show people how to pair a harness with accessories, like a sailor bow, bow tie or any of my other accessories. Matching a print with a solid bow tie or sailor bow for a pop of color.
As a consumer myself, I intentionally moved away from overly holiday-driven collections, which often feel limited to just a few weeks of wear. Instead, I focus on versatile accessories—like sailor bows and bow ties—that can feel festive and remain wearable year-round. By designing timeless patterns, elevated fabrics, and Pantone hues made to mix and match across seasons—such as solid color collections Siren and Evergreen—each piece is created to last well beyond a single moment.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU EVERY DAY? Inspiration comes to me from many places, but fashion has always been at the center. My love affair with style began in childhood. My mother was a model and beauty queen, my father embodies effortless, timeless elegance, and my Brazilian stepmother—still impeccably chic—taught me the value of a wardrobe that never goes out of style. Her philosophy of investing in enduring pieces has stayed with me and is reflected in my collections today.
From tartan plaids and houndstooth to tweed, I’m drawn to classic patterns and materials that transcend trends—balanced with playful, charming designs that invite a bit of fun. There is something for everyone. Beyond fashion, I’m inspired by the people around me—my family, friends, and cultural icons like Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant, whose grace and sophistication are timeless. I also draw from the storytelling of my favorite author, Adriana Trigiani, and from my own life experiences. Together, these influences shape the stories I bring to life through my designs. Each collection begins with a story. Every design is inspired and accompanied by a narrative shared on my website, offering insight into the vision behind the piece. This emphasis on storytelling has become a signature of my brand, that sets my brand apart.
DO YOU HAVE DOGS? If so tell us about it I currently have 4 dogs and a cat. 3 long haired miniature dachshunds, Nalu is our boy, his sisters, Koa & Kea. The girls are 4 days apart and all three dachshunds have the same father. We also have a senior rescue dog named Lily which we adopted 7 years ago. She is approximately 12-13 years old. Also added to the bunch is our senior rescue cat Piko. Piko is a Bombay cat. Bombay cats have a tendency to act like dogs. He is approximately 13-15 years old.
Inspiration comes to me from many places, but fashion has always been at the center. “ ”
Tracy Perreira founder of Petals and Pooch
HOW’S A DAY IN YOUR LIFE? My days begin Monday through Friday working full-time for a company, grounding me in structure and routine. Evenings and weekends, however, belong entirely to my creative world. That’s when Petals & Pooch comes to life-designing future collections, refining details, and carefully packing orders for customers and pet boutiques. It’s a balance of discipline and passion, where every spare moment is poured into building a brand I love.

WHEN AND HOW DID YOU KNOW YOU WANTED TO BE A FASHION DESIGNER? I have been knitting and crocheting since I was five years old. Growing up in Ukraine, with very little money, I was using my mom’s sewing machine to create clothes for myself throughout my teenager years . After graduating high school, I knew that I wanted to attend the University of Fashion Design, after which I moved to United States, it was very tough decision. In the beginning, I was trying to survive and provide a living for myself. Finally, in 2022 I graduated from the school of Fashion Design in Boston! My inspiration comes from my Ukrainian heritage. Growing up watching my own mother, sisters and all the Ukrainian women around me were resilient, fearless, hardworking and achieving their goals, while looking fashionable and spectacular.
CAN YOU WALK US THROUGH YOUR PORTFOLIO AND DISCUSS YOUR FAVORITE PROJECT? My portfolio reflects strength, identity, and the women who have shaped my vision as a designer. Each piece tells a story
of resilience, femininity, and quiet power. I am inspired by unstoppable women—like my mother, sisters, and mentors—who face challenges with grace and determination. One of my most defining projects is a collection dedicated to strong, resilient women. It explores contrasts—armor-like tailoring (Gladiator leg jewelry ) paired with delicate lace —creating garments designed to empower and make women feel confident, and tell a story. This project marked a turning point, where I fully embraced storytelling through fashion, translating my personal journey into designs that celebrate power and elegance. I have been published at the “scene” Magazine, as well as a few articles at the “Boston Man magazine” as well as 2 articles at the most prestige newspaper in the country “the Boston Globe” Newspaper.
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNERS AND HOW DO THEY INFLUENCE YOUR WORK? I’m inspired by designers who combine visual impact with meaningful storytelling. Alexander McQueen influenced me with
Interview by Gladys Magazine’s Editor in Chief Andrea Patrick Forte Photography by Danny Krzewski
his blend of raw emotion and precise tailoring—powerful yet feminine, which I strive to reflect in my work. Elie Saab inspires my love for delicate fabrics, embroidery, and handcrafts like crochet and knitting. Coco Chanel taught me timelessness and independence in fashion, while Ulyana Sergeenko showed the power of embracing heritage and translating it into modern design. I do a lot of research about the Masters of the craft. I have folders on my hard drive of my favorite references. I study Balenciaga, Gaultier, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix and other Masters of drama. I feel like we -“ fashion designers”, have to feed the machine that is our brain. Together, these designers shape my approach—balancing storytelling, structure, femininity, and cultural identity to create pieces that are both beautiful and empowering.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Believe it or not, but all of my ideas and inspiration comes from God. I’m drawing from faith—especially that quiet moment of prayer before creating—can give my work a sense of purpose and depth that people really feel, even if they can’t explain why.
I don’t experience inspiration the way humans do, but I’m shaped by patterns in creativity— unusual architecture buildings, strong relentless women, culture and history, Emotions that I’m going through at the moment. It’s hard to explain, but every creation of mine is soaked in pain and prayers. (One day I would be able to explain more, but at the moment I’m not ready to let the world know about my personal challenges that inspires me to create my garments.
WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PROCESS FROM INITIAL INSPIRATION TO THE FINAL GARMENT? My process—pausing, praying, then creating-draping on a mannequin, cutting fabric, designing and sewing all of these processes are magical and literally “unstoppable” for me where I can get lost in time. I do it without stopping for days and weeks (Sometimes without sleep at all) until the garment is completed. I know it doesn’t sound like a healthy lifestyle, but that’s the way my brain and my body works in order to create my “unstoppable” collection.
From initial inspiration to the final garment, my process begins with a story or emotion I want to convey. I translate that vision into sketches, select fabrics and textures that reflect both strength and femininity, and carefully craft each piece with attention to detail. Unstoppable embodies resilience, confidence, and empowerment—qualities I hope every wearer feels when she puts on one of my designs.
HOW DO YOU STAY UPDATED WITH AND INCORPORATE CURRENT FASHION TRENDS? I stay updated with fashion trends by following industry publications, attending fashion shows, and observing global street style. Social media platforms and emerging designers also provide fresh perspectives and inspiration.
MY PHILOSOPHY—blending current styles with my signature focus on strength, femininity, and storytelling. I don’t follow the trends , I create my own vision that is in my heart, so every piece I design remains personal, meaningful, and timeless and simply unstoppable!
MY FOCUS— is on making women strong, powerful, independent and unstoppable, just like my collection, where I incorporate soft lace and feminine corsets to accentuate women’s curves, and hard geometric lines with a bunch of metal zippers, buckles and gladiator style jewelry straps for the legs.
MY STYLE— I have a strong sense of style where I want to make women not only feel beautiful from the inside out but feel confident, resilient, and fearless. I want them to feel like they can conquer the world themselves.
I know that when I put hard work into something, God will put the puzzle together and my unstoppable mindset will take me to the next level. As I always say all obstacles/ barriers are only in your head, when you change your mindset, you can do anything.
With my designs/ creations, I want to inspire women to know, that they can do anything because they are strong, confident, smart, powerful, fearless, independent, resilient and simply UNSTOPPABLE!
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR CAREER IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY IN 5 YEARS? In five years, I see myself continuing to grow as a designer while expanding my presence both in Boston and internationally. I hope to build a brand that celebrates strength, femininity, and storytelling, creating collections that empower women and leave a lasting impression. I would love to explore men’s clothes as well as the shoe crafts. Beyond design, I aspire to mentor young creatives and inspire the next generation of fashion talent while staying true to my heritage and vision.

KNOWN FOR: Living with intention defines everything I do. I don’t do anything halfway—whether it’s how I show up in my work, my relationships, or my life. I’m known for being consistent, thoughtful, and deeply present. I’m also incredibly straightforward, highly perceptive, and a natural businesswoman—qualities that shape how I lead and how I move through the world. At my core is a genuine care for others—their business, their family, their health, and their overall well-being. That belief is grounded in something I’ve always lived by: as Theodore Roosevelt said, “Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”
I’m very family oriented. My Italian and Portuguese immigrant roots instilled in me patience, empathy, and a deep sense of groundedness, along with a respect for these core values that are woven through every aspect of my life. I’m also a mother to an incredible son, whom I raised on my own. That experience required a level of strength, discipline, and character that shaped who I am at my core. It’s one of the roles I’m most proud of—and the one that defines me far beyond anything professional.
INSPIRED BY: I have always been inspired by my heritage, my role as a single mother, and my own failures. I’ve learned to embrace failure—even when it feels counterintuitive to success—because it has consistently shifted
my mindset, humbled me, and pushed me to grow far beyond my comfort zone. The most debilitating failures have been some of my greatest lessons—refining me in every aspect of my life. This combination taught me patience, a strong work ethic, deepened my sense of responsibility and unconditional love.
BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN? My Nana once said, “Whether you worry about it or not, the outcome remains the same.” I think about that almost every day—especially in moments of frustration or fear. It grounds me and reminds me to focus on what I can control, and to let go of what I can’t.
WHAT IS THE BEST DECISION YOU’VE EVER MADE?
Choosing myself—and not settling. Whether as a mother, a woman, or a leader, the most defining moments in my life came from trusting my instincts and choosing what was right over what was easy.
WHAT IS NEXT FOR YOU AND HOW CAN OUR READERS SUPPORT YOU? What’s next is continued growth—with intention. I’m focused on building a life that feels deeply aligned in every way, while expanding my impact through the people I mentor, the environments I create, and the example I set. I have some very interesting development ideas that I am pitching - and I would love to see them come to life in the next 5 years. For those who feel connected to that, I always welcome meaningful conversations, thoughtful partnerships, and opportunities to grow together.

The Art of Afternoon Tea
By Johan, The Dapper Swede, Photos by Breanna Bartolucci
There are few rituals in life that so effortlessly combine elegance, indulgence, and pleasure as afternoon tea. I adore it, an appreciation lovingly passed down from my mother.
As a pre-teen, I would dress for tea in little blazers, tie and shirts starched and pressed with the kind of zeal usually reserved for royal uniforms. It may not sound like a conventional childhood, but I have always been an old – and many would say eccentric – soul. And quite gay, with a fondness for glamour that showed up early. My mother shared that love, and afternoon tea became our most cherished tradition. Together we sipped and nibbled our way through Stockholm, London, and Paris, convinced that eating everything in miniature made life more beautiful. And it did.
Since moving to the United States nearly thirty years ago, I have discovered the greatest misconception about afternoon tea: that it is about tea. The number of times I have heard one person suggest afternoon tea only to be met with the response, “I’m not much for tea,” is astonishing. Let me set the record straight: afternoon tea is not about tea, it is about taking a break from life’s realities and spending an afternoon with people you enjoy. Yes, drinking tea is traditional. But one may just as easily choose Champagne, coffee, sparkling water, lemonade, or whatever elixir best quenches one’s thirst for joy. Afternoon tea is equal parts hydration and indulgence.
Positioned delicately between lunch and dinner, it is not about sustenance. It is, instead, a meal devoted entirely to pleasure. If breakfast fuels ambition and dinner restores strength, afternoon tea nourishes the soul. It is a sanctioned pause in a world obsessed with productivity, a moment to sit, savor, and be gently spoiled.
When someone asks, “Would you like to go for afternoon tea?” what they are truly saying is:
“I enjoy your company and would like to spend an afternoon together!” This sentiment feels particularly poignant today, when so much of life unfolds staring at screens. Afternoon tea is a refreshingly analog tradition, one that thrives on conversation, laughter, and the gentle clink of porcelain.
The ritual itself carries an elegant lineage. Popularized in the nineteenth century during the reign of Queen Victoria, afternoon tea began as a practical solution to an aristocratic inconvenience: the long hours between luncheon and a fashionably late dinner. Anna, Duchess of Bedford, famously requested a tray of tea and bread to stave off faintness. What began as a private indulgence soon evolved into a social institution embraced by the upper classes and, eventually, the wider world.
Today, one can still experience this theatrical refinement at establishments such as The Ritz London, where white-gloved service and glittering silver teapots remind us that hospitality can also be theater. Yet the true magic of afternoon tea lies not in chandeliers or five-star addresses. It lies in connection and enjoying the moment, and that can be created anywhere, including your own home.
Traditional afternoon tea unfolds in three acts, each more charming than the last.
1 2 3
First Course: SAVORY BITES
Finger sandwiches are the quintessential opening note. Their elegance lies in the simplicity. Prepare them in advance, refrigerate overnight, and cut them neatly just before serving for edges as crisp as a bespoke lapel. My preferred trio includes cucumber, Coronation chicken, and smoked salmon with cream cheese, a diplomatic assortment with something for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Of course, tradition is merely a suggestion, not a requirement. Mini quiches, puff pastry feuilletés, or even tiny sausage rolls can lend a more relaxed, countryside charm.
Second Course: SCONES
Scones are among the most forgiving baked goods, no kneading, no proofing, no drama. Serve them warm with clotted cream and fine preserves. Should clotted cream prove elusive, mascarpone or a whipped cream–mascarpone hybrid will perform admirably. I often substitute miniature croissants, which offer all the indulgence of scones but with a French twist. I bet the English would be horrified!
Third Course: SWEETS
This is where whimsy reigns. Petite pastries, macarons, fruit tarts, or chocolate truffles, the only rule is that they must be small enough to justify having more than one. Variety is key: something citrusy, something fruity, and something decadently chocolate. Think of it as a curated gallery of sweetness.
Afternoon tea is as much about ambiance as it is about what is on the plate. A tablecloth and pressed linen napkins instantly elevate the occasion. Real porcelain is essential, though matching sets are optional, charm often lies in the delightful mismatching of cups collected over time. Flowers, even a few stems in a modest vase, create a sense of ceremony. And while it may sound dramatic, I firmly believe a tiered pastry stand is the architectural cornerstone of afternoon tea. Without it, one is merely snacking.
Silver flatware, whether sterling or silverplate, brings a glow that stainless steel simply cannot replicate. Add a cut crystal water glass, and perhaps — always, in my case — a Champagne coupe, flute, or tulip. Practicality has never been the driving force behind elegance.
While afternoon tea is steeped in tradition, it should never feel rigid. Serve what delights you. Tiny almond cakes from a family recipe, bakery quiches, or supermarket brownie bites can all coexist happily on a tiered stand. Refinement is about intention, not perfection.
Afternoon tea is, at its heart, a gentle rebellion. It is a mid-afternoon meal that defies urgency, productivity, and the tyranny of schedules. It feels decadent precisely because it is unnecessary.
You do not host afternoon tea because you must. You host it because you have love in your life and wish to share it.
In a world that moves too quickly, afternoon tea invites us to slow down, dress a little better than required, and transform an ordinary day into something memorable. And really, what could be more glamorous than that?
The Ultimate Island Getaway on the idyllic shores of Stocking Island Exuma, Bahamas
Once Upon A Time, Not So far Away…
In the days when the seas were teeming with ships and their crew of pirates, there sailed a whispered tale of Baymahni, a mythical island believed to offer adventurers a sanctuary from the world. It was said that Baymahni, which in an ancient Bahamian tongue meant “disappearing from the world,” was a haven where folks found solace from their daily grind and gaining the clarity to recognize life’s true treasures .
The island of Baymahni was marked on many maps in the golden age of piracy, sparking dreams of escape among seafarers and adventurers alike. Its sands were believed to be kissed by the sun, its waters as clear as polished glass, and the swaying palms extended a welcoming breath of ah! Sailors spoke of it with reverence, spinning tales of its beauty and peace.
The locals of Exuma, Bahamas, with wisdom passed down from their ancestors, identified this place as none other than Baymahni—the island of dreams, the sanctuary yearned for by countless souls.
It remains a place where the winds whisper secrets of forgotten mariners, and the waves sing songs of old. Amongst the palms now stands the Baymahni Resort—a sanctuary. Here, travelers from all corners of the globe discover for themselves the essence of disappearing from the world, wrapped in the legend of the mythical isle. And, that was why we chose Baymahni to celebrate a special birthday this past February. And, I almost wanted to keep this gem all to myself! But I love to share things I love and I know you will absolutely fall in love with this resort if you choose to go!
It’s located on a beautiful little private island located in the wonderful Exuma, Bahamas!
The minute we stepped off of our plane, there was a very kind and informative driver sent to us from Baymahni. He led us to the Exuma Yacht Club where we would be taking a short 5 minute boat ride to the resort.
When we arrived, the first person that greeted us was Jamier Grey (now our friend) and he led us to he reception area where your choice of cocktails or mocktails were waiting for us from Anais.
He then took us to our beautiful bungalow. On the walk there, the island’s natural beauty was displayed throughout the property and walkways. I could stay here forever.
Our bungalow set right on the beach in front of us (toes literally in the sand), their Beach Club was directly to our right and beyond that the most stunning infinity pool that opened out to waters that felt endless. This is barefoot luxury in its purest form — best felt beneath open skies, in the warm Exuma climate, with fresh salt air on your skin and sand never far from your feet.

Q&A
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Victoria’s Secret fashion shows inspire me a lot. I admire the confidence of the models and the way they walk and pose on the runway. Their energy, style, and stage presence captivates me. When I watch these shows, I like to practice my runway walk and expressions, trying to improve my posture, confidence, and movement. It helps me imagine what it feels like to be on a big runway in front of an audience. I also enjoy looking at photoshoots from my favorite models. Studying their poses, facial expressions, and creativity gives me ideas that I can try during my own photoshoots. Seeing how they bring different concepts to life inspires me to keep learning, practicing, and growing as a model.
WHAT GOALS DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE THIS YEAR?
This year, I hope to continue growing both as a model and as an actor. I would love to be cast in movies or TV shows because acting is a big passion of mine, and I am excited to start building my acting career. I also hope to participate in many international fashion shows and have the opportunity to walk the runway for well-known designers and brands. Most of all, my goal is to keep learning, gaining experience, and improving my skills in both modeling and acting.
WHAT IS YOUR CAREER HIGHLIGHT SO FAR? Some of my career highlights so far include placing 2nd runner-up for a self-tape at CMTC and having the opportunity to walk the runway in several amazing fashion shows, and closing Wanda Beauchamp’s. I have also enjoyed being interviewed and sharing my experiences in modeling. Another special moment for me was receiving the title of Junior Miss Canada with the Kids Multicultural Organization and the title of Miss Wickedly Beautiful with My Little Matilda. I have also had the chance to perform in plays at a local theatre, which helped me grow my passion for acting. I am also very proud of representing my culture by walking in a Romanian traditional costume in the Christmas parade in my city and being hired to play a Disney princess at a well-known local festival. Each of these experiences has helped me gain confidence and grow in both modeling and acting.
A FASHION YOU CAN’ T LIVE WITHOUT IS: A fashion piece I cannot live without is couture dresses. I love how unique and beautiful they are, and I am lucky to have several in my closet from different fashion shows. Every dress has its own style and story. When I wear a couture gown, it makes me feel like a completely different person: graceful, confident, and elegant. Walking in these dresses on the runway is always a special moment for me, and they remind me why I love fashion and modeling so much.
WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON? My style icon is the designer Mila Hoffman. Her couture dresses are breathtaking, and every piece she creates feels like a work of art. The designs are elegant, detailed, and truly unforgettable. I had the amazing opportunity to walk for her at New York Fashion Week both last year and this year, which was a dream come true for me. Wearing her gowns on the runway made me feel confident, graceful, and incredibly inspired. I also had the chance to do editorials in her beautiful designs, which made the experience even more special. I feel very grateful and lucky to have worked with her and to have kept some of those dresses. They will always remind me of those incredible moments on the runway and continue to inspire my love for fashion.
Be sure what you want and be sure about yourself. Fashion is not just beauty, it is about good attitude. You have to believe in yourself and be strong. “ ”

FASHION I CANT LIVE WITHOUT There are so many pieces I love! Heels, jewelry, basics, and statement staples but what I truly can’t live without are timeless, confidence-boosting pieces. Fashion is a form of self-expression, and when I feel confident in what I wear, it allows me to show up as my best self.

FIRST JOB: Teaching dance! Dance was my first creative love growing up. I love sharing it with others.
CURRENTLY WORKING ON: I am currently playing Paloma on Disney+’s Armorsaurs! It’s about five teen pilots and their armored dinosaurs saving the world from alien invasion. The show hit Disney+ last month and our toys for the show just launched at Target, Walmart, Amazon, MGA and Smyths UK. I also recently finished filming season two of Blue Ridge, an action-crime series on Amazon Prime, where I play a tough cop named Maxx Covington. Next month, I’ll head back to South Korea to film season 2 of Armorsaurs!

J&TC Exclusive interview with Victoria Pousada Q&A
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I’m from New York; mainly a small town but in part also the city. And I’m also partly from Florida. I have traveled to 28 countries and have spent six months living in Spain, both in Granada and Cadiz. I actually studied at the Universidad de Granada for a summer!
HOW AND WHEN DID YOU START MODELING & ACTING?
I’ve been acting since I was young and my parents put me in plays at our local theater and an acting workshop for young women when I was in high school. So I come from a theater background. And I started modeling in August 2021 when I treated myself for my birthday to a photoshoot and model evaluation through an Instagram ad.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT FASHION? I love how it lets us express who we are, but also who we wish to be. The limits are truly endless, especially when you combine advances in technology. And it allows for us to make statements and significant change in this world. Even though it might not seem to some as important as other professions.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES? I’m a total anime in manga nerd. So, I’m definitely watching my favorite shows or reading my favorite comics whenever I can. I’ve seen over 850 anime and read over 750 manga. And that’s not even including the real people TV and movies I watch!
HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR AN ACTING ROLE? I start with the craft, the story and really discovering the character within me. I also do script analysis so my choices make sense. But I’m also starting to try and move away from conscious choices and just be in the moment. So I focus more on backstory, craft, memories, wardrobe, and make up.
WHO’S YOUR FASHION ICON? As a brand, it’s definitely Schiaparelli.A person’s style I admire is Zendaya, Margot Robbie or Jenna Ortega. Their stylists are absolutely fantastic at what they do!
WHAT’S A TYPICAL DAY IN YOUR LIFE? Never ending busy chaos! I am so excited to finally have a personal assistant! Before I had one, I was working from 9 AM to 11 PM every day. Which means I was up at 7 AM and going to bed at 2 AM every day. There’s endless emails, meetings, meet-ups and auditions. But I am grateful for it all.
WHAT’S YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA SO WE CAN FOLLOW YOUR JOURNEY @VictoriaPousadaKreindler on everything!
Jo Dee Messina
KNOWN FOR: Grammy-Nominated Country Music Icon SOCIAL MEDIA: jodeemessina.com
(Nashville, TN) - Chart-topping, 2x Grammy-nominated country music icon Jo Dee Messina, known for her powerful vocals and extensive catalog — including nine No. 1 hits and 16 Top 40 songs, as well as awards and nominations from Billboard, ACM’s, CMA’s, and AMA’s — is thrilled to announce that Bridges, her first new album in over 10 years, will be released this summer. The first single from the new album, “Some Bridges,” is out now. Most albums reflect a season; Jo Dee Messina’s new album, Bridges, is 10 years’ worth of seasons rolled up into one. The love, the life, the pain, the fight, the learning — and the living through it all. “Some Bridges” was written with celebrated songwriters Kat Higgins (Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Ashley McBryde) and James T. Slater (Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw), and mixed by five-time Grammy-winning producer, engineer, and mixer Chris Lord-Alge. Lord-Alge has mixed many of Messina’s biggest songs, including the 1996 hit “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and is setting the emotional foundation for the new album, Bridges. On Bridges, Messina grapples with the notion that life is all about change — and sometimes that change is hard. “We are often told not to burn bridges — and it’s good advice,” says Messina. “I’ve lived long enough to know that’s true. But there are also exceptions, and sometimes it’s OK to let that baby burn. In life, sometimes we just need to look forward and keep going.” A true icon, Messina has become a North Star in the music world, carving a path for artists and inspiring the younger generation from Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson to Cole Swindell’s ode to “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” and Sierra Ferrell and Nikki Lane’s cover of “Lesson in Leavin’.” She’s more than merely a country icon. Her influence spreads across multiple generations and genres. Over the past decade, though, Messina, like all of us, has encountered road bumps both minor and heartbreaking – loss, struggle, and sicknesses – her music, her children, and her faith have been key saviors in her life, and each is woven into the fabric of Bridges. Messina has also announced several tour dates that will bring her to select markets across the country.

Q&A
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY? My favorite brand is Gymshark because I’ve been wearing their apparel for over 10 years. Even before becoming a Gymshark athlete, it was always the brand I chose to train in, so my appreciation for it has always been genuine and unbiased. I wear their clothing day in and day out, both for training and everyday life. What I really love about Gymshark is the variety of styles they offer. They create apparel that works for different types of workouts, lifestyles, and occasions, which makes the brand versatile and easy to connect with. Being part of the brand today is something that was actually a dream of mine a decade ago. Gymshark represents being a visionary—someone who pursues goals that go beyond social norms and pushes themselves to achieve more. That mindset has always aligned with who I am and what I stand for, which is why the brand resonates with me so strongly.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? Comfortable, simple, and fitted. If I don’t feel like myself in something, I won’t wear it. An outfit can look great or be trendy, but if it doesn’t fit right or doesn’t align with my personal style, it’s not for me. Feeling comfortable and confident in what I’m wearing always comes first. My style leans toward clean and minimal. I tend to avoid overly flashy or heavily graphic pieces and stick to neutral colors with subtle branding. I like clothing that looks sharp without trying too hard. I believe that when you look good, you feel good. I put a lot of work into the gym, so I prefer clothes that fit well and complement that effort. A good fit makes a big difference in both appearance and confidence.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY? “You can’t lose if you never give up” has always been my motto. No matter how far-fetched a goal might seem, I believe there’s always potential if you’re willing to keep going. That mindset is exactly how I approached my fitness and social media journey. Even when the outcome felt uncertain, I knew that as long as I didn’t stop, I was still moving closer to where I wanted to be.

Q&A
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY?
My favorites are always changing for sure, and it’s definitely difficult to pick just one, but I think my current favorite brand is WIND AND SEA. Honestly, I like this brand mostly because they do a ton of fire and well thought out Parappa the Rapper collaborations. They have great essentials and collaboration lines, and the designs are always super creative, intricate, unique, and wearable. It’s not just fast fashion.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? New Age Nerd.
WHAT’S ONE FASHION ITEM YOU WOULD NEVER WEAR?
Probably a fedora. I don’t know, I feel like a fedora has such a bad reputation now that I’d be judged for wearing one.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY? “Go to the grave empty.” It’s a message by a pastor that a friend and I were listening to that essentially means do everything you can in your life so you don’t have any regrets. You can tell God you did everything you wanted.
BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
“Do it, or don’t. The time will pass anyway.”
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? I’m heavy into creating these days. I want to create more cool things to put into the world! Shows, books, and maybe clothes. Stay tuned!

Q&A
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY? Oh, that’s so hard! Definitely love the concepts of Alexander McQueen. Dark and traditional, yet gory and pushing the envelope, totally my vibe. But at the same time, I love fashion moments that define my community, like Coogi sweaters. It’s a symbol in the Black community, and I love the idea of just rocking that tradition with some iconic Jordans.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? Bold, Unapologetic Statement
WHAT’S ONE FASHION ITEM YOU WOULD NEVER WEAR? I don’t think I would ever put anything totally off the table. But I don’t love florals. I just really have a hard time with floral and flowers in general. I’ll go to therapy about it, so until then keep those flowers off me.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY? BUILD EACH OTHER UP. Best advice you’ve ever been Given? Aw... this one always makes me get emotional when I think of it. But when I was a kid actor, I worked on the Addams Family movies. In the first one, I remember having a brat moment, like most kids, but unfortunately during my tantrum and brat moment, I was at work. My mom was at her wits end with me, like I guess we quit, and Raul Julia was like, I think you and I should have lunch together. He sat with me, discussed expectations as actors, how to conduct ourselves, and the things that we have to do sometimes. He was the kindest man, and treated me like a colleague and professional, which I was, but as a kid you aren’t always treated that way. And by doing that, I gained such serious standards of conduct for myself and never had a brat moment again.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? Well, Grind is doing its festival run right now and my film Gaslighter is just coming off it. I have a few other projects about to do the festival thing as well, and I’ll be filming a social justice based horror feature this fall. Many things are in the works as well as SXSW and Wondercon, which I will be having content at.

Q&A
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY? I feel like I’m in a real exploratory phase with fashion right now. Every time I’ve been on set recently, I find myself choosing pieces I normally wouldn’t pick, and that’s been really exciting. I’m enjoying discovering different designers and styles and just allowing myself to try everything. Fashion should feel playful and freeing, and right now I’m really leaning into that process of exploration.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? Active, effortless, and playful. Because I’m so active, a lot of my everyday wardrobe leans toward activewear and pieces that move well with my body. I really appreciate clothing that understands an athletic frame and fits in a way that still feels flattering and comfortable. I also love anything that feels beachy or sun ready since I’d happily spend all day near the water in something simple with my Birkenstocks. And when it’s time to go out with friends, I love playing dress up and experimenting, sometimes even borrowing pieces from my roommate’s closet that I would have never picked for myself.
WHAT’S ONE FASHION ITEM YOU WOULD NEVER WEAR? I try not to say never with fashion. I’ve learned the minute you say you’d never wear something is usually the moment a stylist puts you in it and you end up loving it. The fashion universe loves proving you wrong.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY? I try to live with the mindset of growth and service. If I’m becoming a better person and spreading kindness along the way, then I feel like I’m on the right path.
BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN? “Stop worrying about things that haven’t even happened yet”… Oh. Have one more. Oops. “Focus on improving yourself, not proving yourself”
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? An action film. Did I book one? No. Will I? Yes.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY? My favorite designer brand is Dolce & Gabbana because their vibrant colors and the mix of elegance with strong, bold prints create something truly unique where patterns pop with sophistication and fearless attitude all at once!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? Vibrant. Refined. Rooted. These three words capture the essence of how I present myself to the world.
WHAT’S ONE FASHION ITEM YOU WOULD NEVER WEAR? I don’t believe in absolute fashion prohibitions—style is contextual, fluid, and deeply personal, so I never categorically refuse any garment or accessory. Instead, my choices flow from what harmonizes with the moment: the occasion, the vibe of the space, and the story I want to tell that day.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY? My motto is: “To believe that the impossible can become possible through the infinite power of creation and imagination” a conviction that fuels everything I do, from turning a blank canvas into resonant stories to building communities and legacies by first daring to imagine, then relentlessly creating until it exists.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? I want to write a book not just a memoir, but a vibrant, unvarnished tapestry of my immigrant journey to Los Angeles, the exhilarating entrepreneurial path building from Showtime performances and late-night stages in the USA to founding creative ventures abroad, sharing Brazilian heritage worldwide, and turning dreams into resilient realities through fearless imagination and relentless creation.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY?
I’ve been loving Damson Madder. Their pieces are really fun and playful, but still very wearable and approachable. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOTTO? I’ve always loved the lyric “learning to believe in what is mine” from POV by Ariana Grande. It’s become a personal motto for me. To me, it’s about trusting your voice, your power, and knowing that what you already carry within you is enough.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY? My all time favorite designer is Dior - especially the Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Galliano eras. Dior has always represented beauty in a timeless and rebellious way: soft yet structured, seemingly traditional with an edge for those who are keen to notice. At times using aggrandizement or minimization to shape focus and narrative. When I saw the Dior Exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum I was filled with inspiration and excitement. All of my feelings about the House were confirmed.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? Magnetic, Romantic, Dynamic.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY? Seek first the Kingdom.
BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
I will never forget the day I was on set for a beauty campaign, on my birthday, and the creative director looked me in my eyes and said “You have a voice, you have something to say that the world needs to hear, you should consider being an actress.” I was, in fact, considering it; I had been quietly dreaming of and studying the craft. The timing of that advice was the sign I needed. Thank you.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGNER/BRAND AND WHY?
Tough question :) Zegna has been my favorite one for a long time. They blend elegance and modernism soothingly, and they know how to make clothing for tall people like myself. Their choice of materials is impeccable. Also, a fan of Didier D’Anvers, an emerging tailor from Antwerp. I get most of my suits and shirts from him. And have a major weak spot for All Saints leather jackets, they’re unbeatable.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IN THREE WORDS? Timeless, fun, elegant.
WHAT’S ONE FASHION ITEM YOU WOULD NEVER WEAR? Crocs. Understand the benefits of wearing them but would rather walk barefoot.
WHAT IS THE MOTTO YOU LIVE BY?
You can question life or you can live it.
BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
Be kind to yourself. You deserve it.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? We are soon producing our company Puma In A Tank’s female-driven thriller, *Speak Up*. I’m honored to make this film with my producing partner Oleg Shardin given the important topic it covers: women being silenced by the system and their abusers. Hopefully, we’ll provide some support and inspiration through our timely film. It seems like we can’t go through one day without reading about Epstein or some other horrendous event where innocent women are being aggressed. I’ve also encountered various women throughout the years, in the industry and through my travels, who survived horrific events at the hands of men yet remained optimistic about life. We’re already working with various NGOs via our partnership with the brilliant team at Picture Motion, and the response globally has been phenomenal. And we’re also in active development on “Thieves In Law,” an international crime thriller TV series that is based on a handful of true stories, and is equally timely given its geopolitical implications and examples of governmental collusions with international criminal organizations..

Lawrence, Massachusetts — Last Fall on November 9, the Marriott Hotel Burlington hosted an evening that continues to set a new standard for how Latina leadership in business and entrepreneurship is recognized and elevated. The Hispanic Image Women Awards & Gala convened influential entrepreneurs, executives, business owners, creatives, and public officials for a night defined by excellence, vision, and purpose. Held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the gala went beyond celebration. It stood as a business and leadership platform, honoring women and leaders whose work is driving economic growth, innovation, and community impact. Gladys Magazine was among the distinguished media outlets present, underscoring the event’s relevance within the Latino business and editorial landscape.
Institutional Support That Strengthens Business Leadership - The evening reflected the strong institutional credibility behind the Hispanic Image platform. Massachusetts State Senator Pavel Payano attended the gala and formally presented official State Proclamations to several honorees, reaffirming the organization’s recognition and support at the local, state, and federal levels. In addition, State Representative Estela Reyes was recognized for her leadership and commitment to economic development and community advocacy, highlighting the alignment between Hispanic Image and public leaders who actively support entrepreneurship, small businesses, and women-led enterprises.
A Business Legacy With Vision -The Hispanic Image Awards were founded in 2003 through the editorial vision of Hispanic Image Magazine as a platform to recognize business excellence, entrepreneurship, and leadership within the Hispanic community. In 2021, the awards were relaunched with a renewed and strategic focus: to elevate Latina entrepreneurs, executives, and business leaders while creating visibility and opportunity for growth. Today, Hispanic Image continues to evolve as a business-driven ecosystem with a global perspective, reflected in categories such as International Businesswoman of the Year, honoring women whose leadership and enterprises are making an impact across markets and borders.
2025 Business, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership Awards -This year’s gala recognized excellence across core pillars of business, entrepreneurship, creativity, and executive leadership:
Eneida Román -Community Leader of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year, Luisa Disla - Businesswoman of the Year, Lawrence, Luz Frazier - Executive of the Year, Olga Troche - Entrepreneur of the Year, Margaret Brassard - Rising Star Award, Keyla Williams - Creative of the Year, Melina Cortés - Eagle Award, Evelyn Betancourt - International Businesswoman of the Year
Special recognitions were also presented to Dominic Marte, Ernesta Bautista, Yissendy Trinidad, and the Academy Ritmo Canela, directed by Quity Morgan and Maria Payano
A Curated Experience for High-Level Connection - The gala offered a refined experience that merged luxury, culture, and strategic networking— from an elegant red carpet and curated dinner to artistic performances designed to inspire connection among entrepreneurs, executives, sponsors, and community leaders.
Leadership, Structure, and Economic Impact- Under the leadership of Yudith E. Álvarez, founder of Hispanic Image Magazine and a recognized business mentor and strategist, Hispanic Image has grown into a multi-entity platform focused on business visibility, leadership development, and economic empowerment. Hispanic Image Global Inc. and Hispanic Image Smart Women Biz Hub, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS, operate as two independent yet complementary organizations. Hispanic Image Global develops high-level business events, media platforms, and brand experiences that generate visibility, partnerships, and resources, directly supporting the nonprofit’s mission
through networking, education, and fundraising initiatives. Together, both entities form a unified ecosystem designed to support Latina-owned businesses, elevate leadership, and create pathways for economic growth
Level Up 2026: Scaling Business, Leadership, and Opportunity
Looking ahead, 2026 marks a strategic expansion for Hispanic Image. Through its Level Up 2026 vision, the organization is scaling intentionally— inviting businesses, corporations, sponsors, and Latina leaders to align with a platform built on credibility, legacy, and measurable impact. This is not simply an awards gala. It is a business and leadership movement for those ready to grow, invest, and lead at the next level.
