CLASS T FUSES

AutomationDirect has added two series of Class T fuses to their line of circuit protection products. The TJN series 300 VAC and TJS series 600 VAC fuses are extremely fast-acting fuses in a compact, space-saving size, making them ideal for use as the main fuse protection for panel boards, load centers, meter stacks, and AC drives. Available in one to 600 Amp sizes, the fuses are current limiting and are designed with no intentional time delay to open quickly on overload. Screw and box lug-type fuse blocks for Class T fuses have also been added.

DCT Series pneumatic grippers are angular grippers with a 180° jaw opening allowing complete release of a directly fed part. Gripper forces range from 32 N to 112N. These pneumatic grippers are compact and designed for confined spaces. Harsh environments are no problem for this gripper due to the shielding that repels chips and other particulate from the internal drive mechanism. The Series 3100 Smart Pressure Trans­ mit­ter is a microprocessor based high performance transmitter, which has flexible pressure calibration, push button con­figuration and programming using HART® communication. The Series 3100 is capable of being configured for differential pressure or level applications with the zero and span buttons. A field calibrator is not required for configuration. The transmitter software compensates for thermal effects, improving performance. EEPROM stores configuration settings and stores sensor correction coefficients in the event of shutdown or power loss. Applications include flow measurement, level monitoring, filter or pump differential pressure, critical process monitoring.

Guyson has engineered and built a 7-axis robotic blasting machine that is specially adapted for mechanical shot peening of the root section of turbine blades. The Model RB-9 shot peener accommodates industrial gas turbine blades up to 36 inches in length and in excess of 100 pounds in weight. The 48 x 48 x 48-inch process enclosure is fabricated in 1/4 or 1/2-inch steel plate and is fully lined with bonded rubber sheeting for noise abatement and protection from the potential warping effects of continuous exposure to the high-velocity impact of the peening shot. An electrically operated jib hoist is mounted on the roof of the cabinet to facilitate safe and convenient loading and unloading of heavy components. One wall of the blasting cabinet is made with a generous opening for installation of an industrial robot, such as a FANUC MIOIA, as a 6-axis peening nozzle manipulator.

Developed for coating and lining storage tanks, piping, scrubbers, and processing equipment in the chemical industry, Master Bond EP21ARHT features chemical, fuel and acid resistance. Also widely used in electronic, electrical and metalworking industries, it can even successfully withstand immersion to 96-98% sulfuric acid and 20% hydrochloric acid for more than a year. This two component epoxy cures at room temperature with minimal shrink­­age or more rapidly at elevated temperatures.

The cable carriers protect vital power and control cables from being damaged by flying debris during the cutting process.

A tube version of igus’ ‘Rol-E-Chain’ cable carrier is used on each of the machine’s three axes.
