From the introduction of the book .
"One does not become enlightened by imagining the shape of light; one becomes enlightened by being conscious of darkness." (C.G. Jung)
An inner journey.
I have always considered photography as a way of knowing myself. What has always fascinated me is black, shadow, the contrast with light, the struggle between these two elements.
A contrast that also symbolizes the unconscious and dark part of each of us.
This short book is only a small part of the material I have available and contains the essence of my idea. I wanted to represent the observation of the shadow as a dark and "separated" part from ourselves and the progressive awareness of what we hide which finally leads to inner stillness.
