Miss is a knitwear design project, developed in a group team for the brand Missoni. The collection is

inspired by the identity of the company such as the sportiness and comfort of knitwear combine to a

pure, colorful, unmistakable elegance. We were inspired, under the direction of the company, to the

Russian artist Sonia Delaunay. She is the founder of Orphism full of avant-guard conceptions. From

her studies of colors “simultaneous contrasts” we have deduced a combination of vivid, independent

tones and other coagulants. Finally we considered Gabriele D’annunzio as a formal and target inspi-

ration. His multi-faceted character (poet, artist, military, sportsman but bohemian and ideally similar

to the concept of Übermensch or superman of Nietzsche) gave original to the key idea of the project,

translated to a sporty and elegant female figure. One person full of contrasts, almost oxymoronic. The

fusion of opposites coexist in an ideal elevation and care of our own essence as human beings. The

garments and accessories designed and manufactured satisfied the versatility need of an object that

would be colorful but elegant like an expressive of a modern, self-asserted, full of life woman. This

project has brought me a very strong personal growth indeed I learned the basics of knitwear and a

stronger awareness for the team working. It aloud me to think like I had never done before, being in

a totally different area from what I’ve always seen.

voro 74 0 74 aghi, mentre per le maniche 50 0 50 aghi. Principalmente il capo è stato realizzato con

la tecnica delle sospensioni, simulando un fiammato tricolore graficizzato.
