New research shows that the mental health and well-being of Australian students is significantly worse than it was 15 years ago, suggesting a worrying trend that schools and parents need to address.

There was also a worrying trend towards underachievement among students, 70% of whom felt they could improve in their school work.

47% of Australian students feel very tense when they study, compared to the international average of 37%.
