Service Unit Budget (continued) REMINDERS: All service units must have a bank account. Service unit bank accounts require a minimum of two signers who are registered, background-checked, trained volunteers, and who are not related to or in the same household as one another. They should have the service unit treasurer role on their membership account. The service unit treasurer is a member of a team, and financial decisions are made and voted on by the team as a whole. No single team member has veto power over financial decisions. Service units are required to submit an Annual Finance Report (AFR) by July 30 each year. Failure to submit an AFR could make the service unit ineligible for any stipends or goal incentives. Service units manage their own funds to provide opportunities for girls and volunteers to engage within the community. The service unit team should consider the needs of each committee, as well as the historical context of typical expenditure and income.
