Dear Girl Scout Families, Welcome to another year filled with endless possibilities!

Every Girl Scout’s journey is unique, and each new experience opens the door to learning, leadership, and lasting confidence. Whether you’re discovering a new passion or growing your existing talents, you’ll find numerous opportunities in these pages to learn, lead, serve, and shine. We hope to spark curiosity, inspire confidence, and create unforgettable experiences for girls of every age.

From exploring the outdoors and tackling STEM challenges to developing life skills, serving the community, and becoming tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, every program is intentionally designed to help you grow into courageous, confident leaders who make the world a better place.

A word from our CEO Wendy Dordel

This year will be especially meaningful as we celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouts of Gateway Council. For a century, girls throughout Gateway have discovered their strengths, found lifelong friendships, and made an impact in communities across North Florida.

Throughout the year, we’ll honor our rich history while creating new memories through special events, unique experiences, and opportunities that celebrate the generations of Girl Scouts who have shaped our legacy. We’re also excited to launch something that celebrates my passion for reading and sharing it with others. “Wendy’s Book Club,” is a new initiative that will encourage girls to discover the joy of reading, engage in meaningful conversations, and explore stories that inspire leadership, curiosity, and confidence.

We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone year with you and your family.

As you explore these pages, I encourage every girl to step outside her comfort zone, discover something new, and embrace every opportunity to learn alongside her troop, her friends, and her Girl Scout sisters.

Together, we’re creating opportunities that inspire girls to explore boldly, lead confidently, and leave a lasting impact on the world around them. Thank you for being an essential part of their journey and for believing in what every Girl Scout can achieve.

Welcome Welcome to Your 2026- 2027 Program Event Guide This guide is your resource for planning an exciting Girl Scout year! Inside, you will find programs, events, and adventures designed to inspire each Girl Scout’s curiosity, dreams and talents!

From marine science programs and horseback riding to community service projects, camp adventures, Broadway shows, and cherished Girl Scout traditions, there’s something for every Girl Scout to explore.

Whether you’re a new Daisy beginning your Girl Scout journey or an experienced Ambassador planning your next adventure, this guide is your roadmap to a year filled with leadership, friendship, and fun. Let’s make it unforgettable!

How to Register for Programs & Events 1. Visit gsgateway.org/events.

2. Select the event you’d like to attend.

3. Click Register Now. 4. Log in to MyGS. 5. Follow the prompts to complete registration and payment.

New programs and events are added throughout the year, so check our events page regularly for the latest opportunities.

Please note: This guide reflects information available at the time of publication. Dates, program details, or cancellations may change throughout the year.

Who Hosts Our Programs?

The Girl Experience Team partners with local businesses, community organizations, volunteers, and subject matter experts to provide engaging experiences for Girl Scouts throughout the year.

Program listings will identify the event host: ⬩ Staff-Led – Hosted by Girl Scouts of Gateway Council staff. ⬩ Program Partner-Led – Hosted by a local business or community organization. ⬩ Community Volunteer-Led – Hosted by trained Girl Scout volunteers.

Who Can Attend?

Girl Scouts are welcome to attend programs and events with or without their troop.

If your troop isn’t attending an event you’re interested in, don’t worry! Many Girl Scouts participate individually, making it a great opportunity to make new friends from across our council.

Some events are also open to families and non-Girl Scout friends. Be sure to check each event listing for attendance details.

Using Gateway Green Gateway Green earned through the Girl Scout Cookie Program or Sweets & Treats may be used toward eligible Girl Scouts of Gateway Council programs, events, and select community partner programs.

Cancellation & Refund Policy Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to customercare@gsgateway.org before the event registration deadline or the cancellation date listed for the event.

Once a written cancellation is received, eligible refunds will be processed within two business days and credited to the original form of payment.

Camp Kugelman VyStar Ballpark – Jacksonville August 16, 2026 Join us for an exciting night at the ballpark as the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp take on the Syracuse Mets! Enjoy the thrill of the game, connect with fellow Girl Scouts, and make unforgettable memories filled with teamwork, fun, and community spirit. Don’t miss this chance to cheer, celebrate and experience the magic of baseball together!

August 29-30, 2026 Get ready for an exciting overnight training session!

Complete your Gateway Camp Training and gain the skills to guide girls on day trips, overnight stays, or multi-night outdoor adventures in state parks, campgrounds, and even back-country camping.

Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge 2026 activities in your neighborhood, at a local park, or at home using your imagination. The challenge begins on June 1 and ends with the Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend in September 2026 (dates vary—check with your council). Use #gsoutdoors on social media to share your adventures with family and friends.

Complete at least 25 activities from the list below to earn your patch. You decide what you want to try—go for anything on the list that seems like fun!

I was surprised to see how long some of those boats made it. Some filled up with water right away, but others lasted a good five minutes before they started sinking.

Just watching those girls struggle to keep their boats afloat but keep going through it was probably my favorite memory. And they got smart fast. They figured out to pick the lightest girl to be in the boat to help it last longer. Watching them take on this challenge, figure things out, and keep going, that’s probably one of my favorite memories.”

Swimming with Mermaids

St. Augustine Aquarium – St. Augustine May 29, 2027 Snorkel with mermaids amongst 200 colorful reef fish and stingrays! They will give you a guided tour of the marine life in the Florida Reef Habitat. All gear is provided for your adventure, but participants need to bring a bathing suit and a towel. Adults may join in on the adventure or observe. This program includes an aquarium tour.

Marine Biologist for the Day

St. Augustine Aquarium – St. Augustine May 22, 2027 Go behind the scenes and spend a day with a marine biologist and see what it’s like to walk in their shoes (or FLIPPERS). Learn how they take care of the animals, equipment, water quality, what they studied in school and learned about the water! Get an inside view into the ocean!

All gear is provided for your adventure, but participants need to bring a bathing suit and a towel. Adults have the option to join in the adventure or just observe. An aquarium tour is included in this program.

Where Girl Scout Traditions Begin Nestled in Hawthorne, Florida, just 30 minutes southeast of Gainesville, Camp Kateri spans 550 acres of natural beauty and outdoor adventure. The camp boasts two spring-fed lakes, an inflatable aqua park, a six-lane archery range, and an air-conditioned dining hall with a full commercial kitchen.

At Camp Kateri, campers can dive into a variety of activities, including archery, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and exploring the surrounding natural environment.

Accommodations are designed to suit a range of experiences and include air-conditioned cabins, open-air cabins, treehouses, and tent pads, accommodating up to 246 campers (with additional capacity available for tent camping).

A Little Retreat in Fernandina Beach Fernandina Beach Little House (FLBH) is the perfect landing spot after a day full of adventures in Fernandina Beach.

Just a short walk to historic downtown and only a 5-minute drive to Fort Clinch State Park and the beach, FBLH is a hidden gem in Gateway Council. FBLH offers simple, comfortable accommodations featuring one main air-conditioned room, a small kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave, and one restroom with a toilet and shower. The space also includes 16 cots, a television, three folding tables, and 16 chairs, everything you need for a relaxed and easy troop stay.
