McFadden Cabin, located in City Park, was built in the 1920s by philanthropist William McFadden and gifted to the Girl Scouts in 1931.

The cabin was closed for many years due to structural issues but recently underwent a revitalization, thanks to Girl Scouts who worked alongside professional builders and area craftsmen from the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans and the Women in Building Council. With new plumbing, interior walls and fresh paint, the cabin is now open for Girl Scouts to enjoy as they make memories to last a lifetime.
