A navy blue dress blazer must be worn at all times, including, but not limited to, during classes, Convocation, assemblies, liturgies, and in the hallways from October 15 until the start of Spring Break. Students may remove their blazers during their lunch block. Blazers may be purchased anywhere.
Students must wear dress pants, khaki-style pants or corduroys in the following colors: navy, khaki, gray, or black. Pants must extend to near the ankle and be worn at the waist. Pants must be free from rips, splits, frayed hems, side stripes, patches, ornamentation, drawstrings, elastic ankles or alterations of any kind. No jeans, shorts, colored denims, cargo-style pants with exterior pockets, athletic pants, joggers or excessively tight pants are permitted.
From the start of school until October 15 and from Spring Break until the end of school, students may choose to wear a white or light blue oxford cloth buttondown, or a navy, gray or white polo. From October 15 through Spring Break, students must wear a white or light blue oxford cloth with required tie.
From October 15 through Spring Break, ties are required.
Students may wear a solid navy blue, royal blue or gray crew neck, v-neck, or quarter-zip sweater or sweatshirt. Hoodies are not permitted. Sweaters and sweatshirts with no logo or with a small Gilmour emblem on the left side of the student’s chest are allowed.
From October 15 through Spring Break, approved sweaters and sweatshirts may be worn under the blazer. During non-blazer months, they may be worn as an outer layer. In all cases, a uniform-approved shirt must be worn underneath.
Shoes should complement the uniform. Approved footwear includes casual and dress shoes, clean and neat tennis shoes, and high-ankle dress boots. Shoes with laces must be tied.
Distracting hairstyles or colors are not permitted. Only stud or hoop earrings, not more than ½ an inch in diameter will be permitted. Head coverings are not permitted, except for religious reasons. Students should be clean-shaven at all times.
Students will be required to wear a tie with a buttondown shirt and blazer for special occasions such as awards ceremonies, school Masses or significant presentations.
