For me summer is a dance between getting out and enjoying all that the season has on offerandstayingcoolandshady

Summer Travel Tips

Here'safewofmyfavouritetipstoensureasmoothjourney

I love to travel, I'm Saggitarius so it’s embedded within my DNA. I used to find the whole packing thing a big chore but not any more Herearemygoldenrules:

If the trip is for five nights or less I take carry-on I've become very adept at packing only what I need and this is all downtomynexttwotips

Keep a note of what you pack for every trip I have done this for the past 10+ years IhaveanExcelworkbookandeach triphasanewpage Inameeachtabwith a place and a year (Mexico23) and then I makeanoteintheworkbookofthelength of time I was there and the time of year I writedownallthatIamplanningontaking but then when I return, I update the list removing anything I didn't wear and adding notes such as the weather, or if I wasshortofanythingorifIhadaccessto a washing machine when I was away. All ofthisintelbuildsareallyclearpictureof

howmuchIneedtotakewhenItraveland it’seasytocomparepastdataforsimilar trips HavingthenotesalsoensuresthatI mixupmyclothesanddon'talwayspack thesamethings,extendingthewearand usefactorofeachitem Thisonething savesmesomuchtime,effortandmoney

Toiletries - I adore skincare and don't like to skimp when I travel I have an airline approved plastic bag with all my goodies always filled for when I am flying with a carryon Ihaveovertheyearsfoundsmall sizes of the things I love and I refill or replenish as things run low This way I know that everything I want will fit For longer trips I always have my large toiletries bag filled, I have duplicates of things such as tweezers and make up brushessothatI'malwayspacked.WhenI return from a trip I fill up any items that need restocked and then I am all set for mynextadventure.
