AVA Community Arts Center

For over twenty years, the non-profit AVA (Advocacy for Visual Arts) organization has been helping countless numbers of residents. The center strives to bring in all types of local artists to showcase their work, and guide aspiring artists as well. Along with gallery space, classroom space and gift shop. AVA also sells art supplies. There are classes at AVA nearly every day.

Campbell County Parks and Recreation

Campbell County has two Recreation Centers, one located in Gillette, and one located in Wright. The Gillette location features a pool with a lazy river and two water slides, a weight room, basketball and racquetball courts, tanning beds, a 42foot climbing wall and an additional 81,000 square foot field house with a six-lane 200-meter track. The Recreation Center in Wright also features a pool with a lazy river, hot tub, weight room, workout facilities including a spinning studio and a nearly 7,000 square foot gymnasium.

The public golf course, Bell Nob, is an 18- hole course in west Gillette. There are also two ice arenas, Spirit Hall is located inside the CAM-PLEX Wyoming Center. The Campbell County Ice Arena is located near downtown Gillette. Year-round events such as curling, ice skating and hockey are enjoyed. Over a dozen county-administered parks cover the county including a skate park, a sports complex with multiple baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts and walking paths.

The Rockpile Museum

Rockpile Museum is a free history museum located at 900 W. 2nd Street in Gillette. From prehistoric fossils to homesteading right through modern day Campbell County, you will find everything you need to know about local and regional history. Campbell County Senior Center

The center is located at 701 Stocktrail Avenue in Gillette. It has been around for nearly forty years, providing congregate meals, activities and programs for seniors who like to stay busy and shop in their community. Exercise classes, arts and crafts, painting and games provide some of the entertainment. There are also senior friendly educational programs including

City of Gillette Parks Division

The City of Gillette oversees more than 600 acres of developed park land inside the city limits. In addition to Dalby Memorial Park (locally known as the Fishing Lake) that includes a disc golf course, McManamon Park has a one-mile paved walking trail around Burlington Lake. There is also a city dog park, an ADA accessible public pool and the Energy Capital Sports Complex which is a four-field, 320 acre state-of-the-art softball facility.

Gillette College

Gillette College is part of the Northern Wyoming Community College District. The campus features Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees along with certification programs for students in the skilled trades. The Nursing Program was started in 1983 and has expanded to train both Licensed Practical Nurses as well as Registered Nurses.

The SCCAC is a multi-use facility located in Wright with both indoor and outdoor arenas. For those needing a place to keep their horses, there are long-term boarding pens available. “The Barn” hosts multiple equestrian related events. It has also hosted dog and car shows.
