Catholic Liberal Arts Education in the English Schooling Tradition

The Gilbertine Academy | Calgary

High School Programme

A Full-Time Programme on the University Model “All education is to be founded on Revealed Truth… to fit men for this world while it train[s] them for another.” - St. John Henry Newman

G

ilbertine Academy provides an integrated liberal arts curriculum rooted in the context of the academic and liturgical patrimony of the Anglo Church in Communion with Rome. Our programme fosters “concrete support” (The Catholic School on the Threshold of the Third Millennium) for families by providing students with the academic rigour and intellectual and moral dispositions

needed for excellence. At The Gilbertine Academy, students learn that they are made for the stars but firmly rooted in the soil. They are pilgrims in this world, serving the common good of the society in which they journey, but also recognise that they are sojourning citizens of the City of God travelling to their homeland, a better country (Heb 11:16).

Gilbertine Academy's programme meets and exceeds all outcomes for the Alberta Programs of Study and the Alberta High School Diploma requirements.
