OUR STORY

It all started with a simple, winning idea: create an affordable cooler that could withstand the rigors of outdoor life while outperforming the competition. And build it in the USA. With that, Outdoor Recreation Company of America (ORCA) was born in Tennessee.

Since then, our highly durable, roto-molded coolers — backed by a lifetime guarantee — have become a staple for hunters, fishermen, boaters, campers, tailgaters and more.

WHAT IS BEARPROOF? There are a lot of coolers out there, but are they tough enough to stand up to a grizzly bear? Ours are.

Every size of ORCA cooler has been put to the test by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) and deemed “bear-resistant.” This certification is often required to meet food storage regulations when visiting national forests with grizzly bear habitats. To be certified, a tested cooler is padlocked and must be strong enough to prevent a grizzly bear from accessing its contents.

If warranty applies, ORCA Coolers shall either repair the product or component or provide you with a replacement product or component if proven to be defective under the terms of this warranty within the lifetime of the original purchaser. Owner must present original proof of purchase from an Authorized ORCA Coolers Dealer to obtain warranty service.

ORCA CARES

Our customers and communities have given so much to ORCA, and we’re committed to giving back.

One way that ORCA gives back is through Disaster Response.

Over the years, ORCA has provided assistance and supplies when bad things happen. In 2016, when wildfires devastated the Gatlinburg, TN area, we sent supplies. When historic flooding ravaged Texas after Hurricane Harvey in 2017, ORCA was there to help. Most recently, when Tornadoes ravaged Nashville and Middle Tennessee in March, 2020, we supplied a trailer full of coolers for rescue and cleanup workers.

We’ve donated products for fundraisers and to groups who need them in the field. We’ve customized products and donated proceeds to charity. We partner with and support conservation groups, breast cancer research, veterans groups, first responders and various non-profits.

Wherever and whenever we can, ORCA strives to make a difference to the families and communities of those who work hard to change and improve the lives of those around them.
