Married Couples, Here’s how you can Make Valentine’s day Special Originally posted at: https://goo.gl/GDLNS9
If you have been married a long time, chances are, V-day is no longer a day of festivities for you. Quite simply, both you and your partner have grown out of the Valentine’s Day habit. For some reason, you don’t feel the need to make one particular day each year a bit more special to each other. Well, that’s alright if you have still managed to keep the spark in your relationship alive. But if your marriage has turned stale, with no spice or romance whatsoever, 2017 is the year to start celebrating Valentine’s Day once again. “But how?” you ask? Just keep on reading! ‘New’ is the Keyword To get the romance back into any relationship, couples need to do something new, and the same goes for you and your partner. So talk to your partner, and do something on this Valentine’s Day that you have never done before. It can be a weekend getaway to a place you have never been to, or eat out at a new restaurant that’s recently opened in your city, or even a home cooked meal where both of you can experiment and cook up something absolutely unique. Let Your Guard Down Most marriages go stale after a point of time because husbands and wives start taking each other for granted, and at the same time, they stop telling each other the little things they would earlier in the relationship. So this Valentine’s Day, let your respective guards down, and spill out everything that you have in your heart. As John Mayer’s famous song goes, “Say what you need to say.” Doesn’t matter if it’s not what the other person wants to hear. The more you break down your own walls, the more you can see past your partner’s. Give Each Other Time, and Flowers It’s no use giving each other a ton of gifts when you can’t keep yourselves free for one another. After all, Valentine’s Day comes around just once every year, and if you can’t spare just this one day for your spouse, your marriage going stale shouldn’t come as a surprise really. So no matter what you do this Valentine’s Day, remember to give each other what matters most; time. After all, if you don’t have time for each other, how can you ever expect to have a great conversation, make love, eat out, etc.? Remember to exchange a few flowers as well. Enjoy
