Who We Are Ask almost anyone to define ?real estate? and they?ll give you the same answer: property. Buildings and land;
buying
and
selling;
big,
complicated
transactions. At The May Group, we see things a little differently. For us, the definition of real estate is people. People living their lives, growing and changing, transforming houses into homes, building wealth and independence. It is about people sharing experiences, making memories, coming together, Left to Right: Abby Clutz and Lisa May
The May Group
and celebrating. As we focus our lense on people first, the business of real estate has become truly meaningful. The buildings and land, the buying and selling, and all the
thousands

involved
in
every
transaction are like the pieces of an intricate jigsaw Lisa May Global Real Estate Advisor 617.429.3188
puzzle. Poured out of the box onto a table they seem
impossibly
complicated.
Putting

together is challenging and occasionally frustrating,

but also infinitely satisfying. And when you are done you?ve created a beautiful picture.

About the Markets We Cover We work in Met ro Bost on. We specialize in Cambridge and its surrounding towns (Belmont , Arlingt on, Somerville, and Wat ert own). Steeped in tradition yet poised at the cutting edge of innovation, Cambridge is a study in contrasts harmoniously woven together. Our city?s residents range from crusty old Yankees to biotech entrepreneurs. From bright young students drawn to our world famous colleges and universities to eighth generation families who couldn?t imagine living anywhere else. From Nobel Prize-winning professors to James Beard Award-winning chefs; inspired architects and designers; musicians and artists; and curious, passionate people of all kinds and backgrounds who enjoy being part of this rich and still unfolding story. Our surrounding towns and housing stock are equally diverse, from tight-knit enclaves of classic brick or clapboard homes to vibrant new live/ work complexes. And the fabric that knits it all together is social and cultural. We mingle at restaurants and shops, churches and meeting houses, festivals and farmers?markets, at the dog park and along the Charles River. Together, we make our city and towns the delightful, dynamic, deeply individual places that they are.

By The Numbers Each of the areas we cover offers something distinctive and comes with a different price point. Cambridge and Somerville are the most dense with a heavy reliance on condominiums for housing. Single family houses make up less than 20% of the inventory sold each year in these areas and come at a relative premium. The surrounding towns, otherwise known as our nearburbs, are more residential and have a higher percentage of single family houses for sale. These towns are within an easy commute by car or public transportation to Cambridge or Boston.
