This picture is taken from a bridge on the Arno river.

I wanted to catch the water circles as a reminder of the time.

The balance and serenity of this photo is in contrast with the frenetic city of Florence.

A Milan street, strangely quite.

The evocative “softness” of the pavement stones is the result of a view taken from another point of perspective.

I explored different colours intensity with the help of Photoshop.

The seriality of these photos do not stop different impressions and emotions from the same subject.

The water is frozen in the very moment of suspension and it represents the natural creation of different shapes.

Using polarised lens and longer exposure time than the previous picture, here I tried to give a more pictorial effect.

The movement of the water is valued by a “brush effect”.

By using longer exposure time, I was able to catch different shades of blue without using digital regulations.

The water traces left, on the sand bed, unrealistic perspective with different vanishing points.

This also emphasises particular colours shades.

The contrast of subject colours and background is accentuating the depth and the chiaroscuro while, in the meantime, the attention is focused on its eyes.

I experimented the Macrophotography, emphasising the centre of the picture with the centre of the flower.

I was curious to catch the relation between architecture and nature as well as between geometry and soft shapes.

I used the Rule of Thirds, diving the picture through horizontal parallel lines. In this way I could find the entire balance of the composition.

This balance is however beat by random positions of sheaves and clouds.

I wanted to highlight the contrast between the vertical lines of buildings and the horizontal lines of the natural landscape reinforced by the white snow.

This is an aerial perspective of Florence taken from Giotto bell tower.

This is a strong colours and lights contrast.

The octagon of the umbrella shape asymmetrically frames the face.

This is a play of lights and shadows which creates facial features. The eyes are aligned with the diagonal of the photos.

Therefore the balance between weight of the figure and the rectangle of the picture is well generated.

The dark background and the intense lights on the front highlight the composition of different transparent objects.
