This is the lightest full-suspension E-MTB ever from Giant. With an all-new, lighter weight EnergyPak battery system, it shaves a full 4kg (9 pounds off the previous generation, which completely transforms performance on the trail. The lighter overall weight, combined with a full power SyncDrive Pro motor system that delivers 85Nm of pedaling support, means you can attack the most challenging climbs and technical terrain with greater agility and control. From step-up ledges to chunky rock gardens, riders can push the limits of what’s possible.

Much of the weight savings is in the new EnergyPak 400 battery, which was co-developed with Panasonic and weighs just 2.7kg (5.07 lb). That’s close to half the weight of those used in previous generation Giant E-MTBs. At the core of this new battery system, the first in the world created specifically for E-bikes, is a new 22700 cell type that makes it possible to pair a full-power motor with a battery that’s half the size. The system uses a total of 20 cells, the same as most lightweight E-bikes, but these larger cells have a higher discharge capacity. Their unique size and chemistry are designed to assure that they stay cooler, which means less stress on the system and a longer total lifecycle.

The frameset and components of the Trance X Advanced E+ Elite are also engineered to minimize weight without compromising stiffness, strength and off-road durability. From the full composite frameset, which is made with Advanced-grade composite material, to the innovative Contact SLR Trail integrated one-piece handlebar/stem unit, every component is optimized for lightweight performance.
